Gaming mice and sensors.
It's time for me to buy a new mouse, but rather than ask for recommendations I'd like to know what sets a great gaming mouse aside from the rest. I already know what type of grip I want, but what kind of sensor should I look for? what other mechanical/design factors should I prioritise?

Thanks.

When it comes to grip it's more of a personal matter. I have a rather large hand and long fingers, so palm grip works way better for me, which also means I always look for large sized mouses.

I know fairly well the grip I want, and I've found plenty of mice with it. My main question is the sensor itself - how do I recognise a great sensor from an average one?
RocketJumpNinja (see YouTube) seem to prefer the 336x sensors with 3388-3390 being the second hand choice? Maybe 3330 or whatever it's called too?

The old stuff people didn't wanted was mouse acceleration or inprecise tracking / guesses from the mouse on how you moved it with faults in it and whatever you could move it so fast that it lost tracking.

The difference between these very best and the very good sensors seem to be something about putting down the mouse at an angle and whatever it may behave weirdly then.

Beyond that he also shake them to see whatever the sensor rattles and prefer light-weight mouse, a cable which doesn't stuck to the mouse pad and have preferences for mouse buttons and scroll wheels.

He list a lot of mice he think is good buys and if you get one of those with a shape and feel you like then I guess you're fine.

336_ vs 338_ or 3390 may not matter very much but the best of them seem to be the 336_. These are all optical sensors, I don't know if theres any laser sensors which is considered as good too. It's mostly just one brand of sensor in the mouses right? One competitor which you see sometimes I think.

The main contenders I'm looking at use the Avago 9800 Laser sensor. The reviews I've seen are mixed, but from my own research I'm left questioning the value of immensely expensive gaming mice and the stock placed in competition hardware like the Asus Spatha.
Which ones you feel are comfortable?
G302, 402, 502 can be had for lower prices sometimes because 303, 403, ..
