if anyone does manage to read this, here is a video of what is happening:
NOTE: video lags because of the capture software I used but there is no real-time lag or frame rate drops. Running a solid 60+ fps on all games I'm experiencing the issue with on Ultra.
also, no overclocking whatsoever both CPUs and GPUs are locked
it should be a relatively instant transition though, right? That slow crawl back up in lighting from the dim blackness you see in the video is in real time. The brightening is severely delayed after the screen dims. Some games, like Gone Home dim and brighten every time I move the camera. Farcry 3 for example, dims objects and surroundings when moving the camera regardless of lighting. It seems to be triggered by motion and/or lighting. If you go from a bright room into a darker room or a room more dimly light too suddenly, you will be in almost complete darkness for a couple seconds. its more noticeable in walking simulators and first-person exploration games with a lot of lighting effects.
is that a global nvidia setting or a setting with the game?
I am still having this issue with multiple games, not just this one. Also, it is not dependent on light source but that does seem to exaggerate it. I cannot seem to pinpoint it but it does seem like it is auto-contrasting and it is noticeable in MOST games I play. It is not specific to the turing test, I just added the video as an example.
Also, I'm not sure why this was moved to general discussion for the turing test when it is a hardware/software issue I'm having with all games I'm playing. This pretty much guarantees I will find no resolution for it here and every other forum I post on I get cookie cutter responses. I do appreciate the replies that have been left here though so thank you. It's just frustrating that across the internet with all it's vast information and infinite sources of knowledge, I am unable to resolve a GPU issue on a custom build that cost me over a grand; an issue that can probably be achieved through some type of nvidia registry edit.
I should mention I have found other forums with users experiencing the same issues. The resolution to this usually seems to be disable the auto-contrast or dynamic contrast. The problem I'm having is I have no such setting in the Nvidia control panel.
Have the same problem after upgrade my 970 to 2060S and clean driver instalation.
If problem pop up again after driver update just do this again.
Tested so much things and nothing are working :'(
This things make some game unplayeable for me...
Please if someone have ane idea post it here pleaseeeeeeee
