Rotating Profile Backgrounds!

So, I've crafted a bunch of badges and have three or four profile backgrounds I quite like. I'd love for there to be a way to set MULTIPLE backgrounds for my profile and have it rotate between them when people visit my profile!

Ideally, it'd fade from one to another as you stay on the profile, but I'd be content with it just randomly choosing one when my profile's visited.

What's everyone think of that?

I think it's a perfectly fine idea. It would be nice instead of chosing JUST one, I could eventually have the ones I've collected be displayed.

I came here with the expectation that someone suggested a background option you can rotate so we can have upside down backgrounds.

I am very disappointed now.

Anyway, I wouldn't mind being able to cycle through backgrounds.

+1 good idea, in the same boat...I have the rare profile backgrounds from each game I've chozen to fully level - having trouble deciding which to flaunt.

The only problem is that it would cause a lot of delay when trying to access someone's profile. While I am not saying this is a bad idea, I think that it would be better to add these sorts of "upgrades" (Mind blank :3) when the steam browser or application (again -_-) gets a little bit stronger

its an interesting idea- the only issue I take with it is that the switching backgrounds might be of different themes and moods... creating a very messy profile.
Steam, as it is at the moment, is pretty professional looking.

If you guys want it though I totally support it. More options is always a good thing.

To your point, I wouldn't want switching to occur randomly among ALL of my backgrounds, but instead I'd like the ability to create a list of backgrounds of my choosing, and then randomly switch between those in that list at an interval that I define (once an hour, once a day, once a week, etc.)

If i got it right it mean each time you go into the profile not while you are on it... so i don't think these will really make any real lag

Loading times would increase a lot to load a profile. Not everyone has a super fast Internet connection.

What about multiple backgrounds but only one displays at a time? So you go on it first time and it has X background, and then if you go on it again it is Y background.

I think what the op mean is that each time you go into the profile you get a random Background from a list the profile owner made

mmm, he suggested fading in and out too. That would be nice but again loading times + less powerful PCs would suffer.
