Edit Descriptions of Non-Steam Games

I add a lot of games to Steam using the "Add a non-Steam game..." option. Using the screenshot function you can add custom description backgrounds. Why not allow us to edit the generic description for non-Steam games?

This really only applies if you use Detailed View in your library. When adding mods or non-Steam games it just gives you a generic description telling you it's a non-Steam game. I would like to be able to edit that for each added game.

Well i think its a problem as i cant really see first of all steam storing that info on there site...
Or even working on it like that for a none steam game

They wouldn't need to store anything on their servers. Just allow us to edit the generic description for our own usage.

I wouldn't think it would be too difficult to code something like this into Steam. Just have the generic description for non-Steam games reference a text file or .ini file.

Agreed. This REALLY (really) bothers me a ton, along with how we can't change the background picture for the description page. :L

+1 Also, game ids(maybe negative ids?) so that it was possible to create shortcuts(open the game without needing to launch steam directly).
