Ban Artwork GIF's

The artwork sections are filling up with animated gifs since the new profiles were introduced. People like to display them on their profiles, but most of them have nothing to do with a game and are just making the artwork sections look really terrible. Sorry those who like them, but I think they are really irritating and they are being widely abused.

I actuallly like the gifs, but even if they were taken out of the artwork section, I would want a section in the hub for gifs. Gifs aren't very common though, and it would be odd to make a new section for gifs in the hub all the sudden. Sorry to say it.

I think maybe a small hide gifs is what is really needed not a ban all gifs

I'm glad to see I'm not alone in my dislike for moving gifs.

A clip from a game made into a moving gif is not artwork. Doing something yourself, like drawing a character from a game, is artwork.

In "Artwork" section you only see like 2% of real artwork. Others are stolen memes or similar funny pictures/gifs that are older than the internet.

Why not make a community hub solely for these GIFs and unrelated images? I can see a problem with pornographic GIFs and images being posted on all the BIG community hubs. However, what about Anime GIFs on a hub that is either dedicated for this sort of thing or one that has not a lot of activity on it. What threat do they pose?

I see no problem with posting Anime and such in hubs but only if they're not in big active community hubs. I do however see a problem with pornographic images on hubs. My suggestion is to make seperate hubs because I really like anime GIFs :L

Just stop all the gifs from animating, there are very few original animated works of art uploaded. They should all be uploaded as videos anyway. People would stop uploading all the random internet gifs if they didn't animate.

In my opinion artwork tab resulted in more spam and garbage than Valve expected. I believe that the number of these 'works' overgrow more than one reporting person. I hardly believe to that there exist users who spend couple hours a day just to report stuff and that's why artworks should be removed.

It will only result on a so-called exodus of these so-called spams into the screenshots section. At the very least, artwork (true to its nature born from sweat, blood, and tears) found in the software/utility tools hub are managed properly and appreciated dearly.

We just need a cleaner to get rid of these vile GIFs of whom most unsophisticated users call Artwork, because most of them are just plain vulgar and rude.
