Greenlight GIF spam
The entire Steam UI is clean static images. Then, when scrolling down over the Greenlight area, as well as browsing through them, animated images are now suddenly present and extremely annoying. Reminiscent of CLICK HERE RIGHT NOW Ads. Please consider changing this policy, it cheapens Steam.

If they are ads, then you may be infected with malware. Can you take a screen shot and post it?

Look to the game Verdun for an example of a game with a gif. It shows up as the first game block on the Greenlight banner. That sort of in your face image is one of the reasons I use adblocking.
Ok, an animated GIF. Seen those a bit on Greenlight too. I ignore them and vote no on the item.

I hate that it uses YouTube too. Darn auto play videos.
This is called "visual trash" oh, wait, now Steam is composed entirely of this...

Aggressive promotion to attract attention, stand out from the crowd, but it is work only once, and some people are so annoying that they vote against the imposed project / product / service.

Personally, I always do - then more intrusive and loud advertising, the lower the probability that I will buy the product.

But managers and advertisers will never understand it.
Aggressive advertising quickly becomes boring, and the methods they have learned from textbooks of advertising do not work anymore - too much information noise and people are just tired of it.
