Onlive on Steam

Hi,i see the method of Onlive,and i see they sell games,that have in steam too,and i want to ask if you have some plans to make "partner" with them,to sell games and we can use they method to play anywhere...or either you have your own method to we can play anywhere like gaikai and onlive....

I think the way cool,cause if we dont have a great PC specifications,we can play too..only buying ...

I apreciate much you extend the payment method to Brasil on boleto method,i like much,cause i only buy in this method,and since i know about steam i ever want to buy from you,now i can...and others ideias like this to extend the way how we see steam and how we use..can be a great oportunity to more peoples buy games from steam,and to say easy to others peoples.
And i have the ideia to ask,cause i'm participating the Beta of big screen mode,and the way is like onlive way....i'm liking the big Picture mode.

No they can make some method like onlive,so we can play in notebook,tablets,Macs..and psp,psvita etc....it can sell more games,a little more the price,but will sell more! and we enjoy more

OnLives meathod and buisness model has left it destroyed. The CEO created a "new" company and "sold" all of OnLives assets to it while laying off all the employees. They also required too high of an internet speed to be usefull to the vast majority of gamers. And if you thought Ubisofts always on DRM was bad...

thanks...yes have these pro >.<....well i only want to have the steam on ps3 too,to buy some credits for psn or maybe some itens in boleto method (here in brasil) cause we pay much for only 20 dolars,or 50,its the double here...its hard,and they want much for prepaid cards...>.<

And why would Sony permit them to use their platform to sell their stuff, with their coinage, instead of doing it through the PSNetwork?
Although it would be nice, one has to look on the business side of things.
(I feel you pain for the regional pricing, sucks to be on a place where that happens)

you're basically wrong... I've tested things like OnLive & Gaikai with my 16Mbit connection (thus 2MB/s down top) and it worked flawless^^ (even better graphics than I'm used to when I play localy... just because I'll set everything to low ;)

Yes, you right. I confused MBs with Mbs.

However the concept is flawed and comarable to Ubisoft's DRM (when they had the always on).
My other reasons still stand.

Horrible company too. Lay everone off, then "sell" the assets to a company of the same name just to avoid payinf what they owe. I wish them luck getting a loan and/or investors in the future. They bailed on every stock holder too. The OnLive stock (worthless now) wan't changed to the new OnLive stock, or any other compensation offered.

Yeah i think its hard to sony and steam agree with these things..but if you see portal 2 have suporte with ps3.... well..i will wait since next month i have my payment card visa..then i cam buy...but i dont see the thing that we can pay with paypal on psn.... i like much cause steam have much methods of payments.... cool..thanks people :D

Just saw Onlive team up with GOG.com on Witcher 2. Steam should jump at the chance to do a similar deal with onlive on games in their current library!

More like Onlive giving a GOG key of the game if you buy it there. Not much different of a retail key being redeemable on Steam.
It's just an Onlive Offer.
There is no Onlive+GOG teaming up, as much a HiB isn't 'teamed up' with Steam or Desura because they offer Steam/Desura keys with their bundles

about the quality... I've played on Gaikai once and it worked flawlessly for me... the quality was even way better then I'm used to. Well I'm playing all games on low so that might not matter for you but still.. the game runs on highest settings there and the quality loss isn't that bad.
It's like watching an HD video

No, games are streamed at 720p with medium (or lower) settings. Most of us play at a higher res. and settings. It would be a downgrade (visualy).

You would have to dedicate your internet to it too, in order to avoid lag and skipping. If you have room mated and/or want to play MP games with eachother, you can't because of the bandwidth needed.

well.. to be fair.. 720p is HD ;) not full HD but still.. (that's why I don't wrote Full HD.. wasn't sure about that one)
Anyway... it looked good for me :P I've never played dark scenes so I can't comment on that one, but you might be right (I know about the problem in general)
