[Suggestion] More of classic games
I am not sure about everyone else but I was raised on computer games in essence. Sure, I had a Nintendo, SNES, etc. but some of the more memorable games for me were played on my father's computer. So when I saw that I could get a hold of games like Commander Keen, Space Quest, and Monkey Island I could not help but re-purchase these games that had seemed lost to me.

I think there needs to be a resurgence of these types of games so that way we not only have access to our old games that we grew up with and hold dear but so that others can see the joy we had growing up with these games.

Add more games such as Leisure Suit Larry, Police Quest, Gangsters: Organized Crime, Quest for Glory, Wing Commander, Gabriel Knight and so on.

Anybody else feel the same way I do or is it just me?

Go to GoG.com

They have all those games you listed, and then some. It is all DRM free too.

Steam only sells games, it is up to the Developer/Publisher if they want to sell games through Steam. I would suggest asking them to put their games on Steam.

And add Day of the Tentical to your list.

See, I have used GoG.com but it would be nice to have everything in one spot, correct?

Yes I understand, it is just surprising that more of those Sierra On-Line/Entertainment titles are not on Steam. Sierra and Valve have a good history and they already have Space Quest and King's Quest.

I figured Maniac Mansion: Day of the Tentacle would be a given, hahaha.

Disagree, because competition is a good thing. Besides, if everything is in one place and then that one place caves downwards or otherwise terminates your account you've lost EVERYTHING you used to play! Yikes!

Really, though, it's up to the publishers and developers as to where a game is sold. Many may well have a deal with GoG. Maybe Valve denied their presence on Steam. Who knows? But you'll need to talk to the publishers and developers to get anywhere. :)

Sadly, Sierra died a long time ago. Any relationship Valve had was over at thet moment. I think the IP and rights are now owned by Vinvedi.

You can add a link to Steam for non-Steam games. Other then that, I dread what would happen if there was no competition, like FrazerJC said.

I agree that competition is a good thing. Just an annoying process of dealing with purchasing games over seas.

Last time I checked, Activision should have full rights to the Sierra franchises of old.

"On December 2, 2007, it was announced that Activision would be acquired by Vivendi, with Vivendi contributing its gaming division plus cash, in exchange for a majority stake in the new group. The merger between Activision and Vivendi Games took place on July 9, 2008, with the newly formed company known as Activision Blizzard"

Poor, poor, Sierra. Being passed around like that.

It really is sad to see all of these companies being "taken out" one by one. The least the companies could do is learn from everything that their predecessors did right.

Many don't even exist anymore. Which is a shame, many good games end up in a legal limbo no one can recover them from.
