This would be particularly useful for episodic content (like many of Telltale's games).
Additionally, it would be helpful for the email alerts of sales. Many times, a bundle of products will be on sale when there's a daily deal for one item in the bundle, but not always. As it currently stands, all items within a bundle needed to be added to the wishlist separately, and the bundle price checked from the store page. It would be nice to be able to check the bundle price from my wishlist.
I'm honestly surprised no one asked for it here yet, the closet to it was game key to inventory. So I guess I didn't state anything cause honestly everyone who has posted here wants to improve steam in some shape or form and no one has argued yet. Pretty cool sight from all the garbage you see normally if you ask me. If it gets out of hand I'll put a stop to it, rest asure Spawn I won't let the list become complete and utter garbage.
Great idea on expanding that, I will clearify that entry to include those as well.
Maybe Full DRM disclusier could be added to the list too. Things like data usage, install limits, remote unlicencing, Rootkitting, Process watching (seeing the other programs that are running), and whatever else fits in the kitchen sink of DRM. All clearly listed.
Perhaps also limit the discussion area to actual owners of the game to keep trolling down though I'd probably miss out on DRM discussions.
The collection thing should and really anything that shows lists, or collections, shoud shows a product already owned & should show differently.. without actualy clicking into each item.. IE have a green background or a green (play) button next to the ones owned . Like when you click into stuff now. Particularly DLC when you get one of those 30+ DLC games and your missing an unknown 5 and trying to figure out which while the Timer on the sale price is ticking down from 1 hour.. And Maybe a "buy missing (dlc|expansion|money sink)" button there for good measure when you get home late from work.
User Rating (from owners only) of games & in particular DLC. I don't like clothing only DLC's I'm sure most others wouldent give a 5$ 1 outfit DLC 5* it'd be a nice quick way see what others think.
PS: Grate list hope it's read daily by the steam team.
Sorry about the dislexia I don't care about the typos.
http://www.chromium.org/ OR https://code.google.com/p/chromiumembedded/ would make MUCH better clients for steam over-all & be multi platform, however the overlay works on IE and I don't see them wanting to dev for IE on overlay webkit|Blink (see: http://www.sitepoint.com/blink-rendering-engine-google-chrome/) for the client. And whatever IOS/Droid client they are using for mobile (probably webkit|blink respectivly).
Thanks for some more great ideas RansomBot. I'll review and get those all put up in the list as I'm reformatting it for easier readability, quick to the point references but explainations for those that wish to read them.
Can tell ya I sure could use a WYSIWYG editor right ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ now, probably messed up the format manually more times than I have fingers within the hour, plus their bbcode has some flaws such as ending a tag before a link. Frustrating is a understandment.
You better. :-P It is a great list with a lot of great ideas. I don't want to see ti vanish.
They already added that.
No doubt, it's becoming a beast to manage too. Can't believe how many great ideas have came out of our community.
If any mod tends to be around a sticky would be much greatful. As you can see I've been continuing to manage this list and I think it's quite well formatted for a dev team to take notes from.
Added, thanks for your suggestion.
Aparently, reworking the profile pages and coming up with a profile levelling and trading card system is easier to do than plastering some buttons to paste the BBCode on the discussions.
And here we are with shiny foil cards and steam level but writing the BBCode tags as if we were on HTML 101...
Valve time at it's finest.

Tell me about it which one to choose? I like reinventing the wheel though.. hide the opensource!
Great idea! Friends don't let friends friend traders.
UPDATES: Added a bunch of suggestions that were yet to be added, should be all caught up now. The jumplist should help quickly get to a section, everything was reworded to be a quick read yet powerful to get the point across. Any needed explainations are below now. Better formatting all around.
Keep em' coming!
That, and other series of "little-picky things that don't-quite-work-for-ages" on steam grinds my gears. Sometimes it seems to me no one at Valve can be bothered to do that low-level, ungrateful kind of work for half a day because everyone is too busy working on the 'big projects' (AKA "Cool Stuff")
And small details count. A lot.
I see the point Valve had behind the old-school way of trading.
They wanted to friend people by trading. As in "Hey i just friended you to trade, and this is crazy... but, you are kind of a cool guy... can we be like real friends?"
And we all would play and giggle in the 'friend-o-dome'
That didn't work since day one. Business is business.
BTW I just took a look at the list we have now. and.... whoah (O_o)
That little list has grown a lot.
You're right that probably was the reasoning, however with how many scammers and useless cheapskate maggots you meet around this community the whole friend thing to trade needs to go and go quickly.
You guys made it into a monster! A Monster! But the Monster still loves you and I'll continue to take good care of it.
