Start JoyToKey through Steam Big Picture?
I've been using a program called 'JoyToKey' to play The Binding of Isaac with a gamepad, but I have to manually start up the program every time I need to use it. It would be nice if there were the option to start up programs like JoyToKey automatically when launching certain games through Big Picture, so I don't need to reach for my mouse every time to click on the JoyToKey shortcut.
Anyone got any ideas? Is there some software out there that I can use that'll launch itself when I play a game, or perhaps there's something I can type into the launch options to automatically start JoyToKey when Isaac does?

SOLUTION:
Well, what do you know? The latest version of JoyToKey has a built-in feature that switches to certain configurations when certain applications open. Once it's set up, you can add J2K to your Start-up folder and have a fully controller-friendly Steam library. Hooray!

Can you add J2K as a non steam game and launch it via big pic mode using the controller?
Thanks! That's a really cool idea. Then again, I'll still have to put my controller down to alt-tab back to Steam and launch BoI. And I'm not sure Steam is okay with two 'games' being open at the same time. Still, I'll try that out.

Yeah, I was a bit worried about it doing that. I'm pretty self concious about what my friends see me playing, and 'JoyToKey' doesn't sound all that impressive.

You can rename it to anything you like. Once you added it as a non steam game check out the options and it allows you to rename it..Give it a better sounding name? :)

But thinking abut it maybe use autohotkey to make a shortcut to start running the Joy2Key?

Haha! I could do, but really I just want people to know which game I'm playing; not that I'm playing it with J2K or whatever elegant name I give the program.

Yes! That's perfect! Cheers.
I don't know much about autohotkey. Is there a way to close J2K too, or even quickly jump to a certain J2K configuration with one button push? That would be great.

Thanks a bunch.
Alright, new plan: Make a bunch of different 'JoyToKey.exe's, each in its own folder with its own configuration, one for Binding of Isaac, one for N, etc.
Then I set up Autohotkey to start the BoI J2K when BoI starts, and close it when BoI closes, start the N J2K when N starts, and close it when N closes, and so forth.

Anyone know what the hell I type into Notepad to make that happen? Is there a program other than Autohotkey that can do the same thing with less hassle? If anybody can get that working, I'll give you cookies and love you forever.

I look it up i am sure there are more pogroms abut autokey il see what i can do to make it for you... also il need to get joy2key to see how that works.. so maybe you don't need to make 10000 of them
How do you even manage to run both JoyToKey and Big Picture Mode at the same time?

Every time I try to launch Big Picture Mode (while JoyToKey is running) JoyToKey just stops detecting my controller, and only Big Picture Mode is working.
