Change Jester awards, to give temporar time out or ban instead points. At this point is just plague of those farmers, in every game forum.

Like above, It doesn't need to be much, like 2 hours of ban for all steam forums instead points, per jester award.
People want to act like jesters, then change award to look like proper representation of such acts.
You could also change it to deduct points instead giving it, between 500-1000 p. per jester award. I can assure, that formu all of sudden would look 1000 times cleaner and all this farmers would be gone like unpleasant dream, it also means less work for forum mods. Think about it guys.

Yeah bad idea, You say. Then look in any semi-alive game forum, or game reviews.
There are countless threads just trying to farm jester points, most of times using lgbtq+ baits. Doing even more harm to those group representation, and aggravating conflicts between sides. You really think its bad idea to make those people responsible for acting like that? I don't think so.
Also look on those 2 hours or day ban from other side, for me it would be more like like good detox/therapy, from writing bs on forum.

Anyway it's up to steam, If they wanna make that invinte war, end or keep going. As long as jester awards give points, trolls/baiter/ whaterever You call them, will stay and rise in numbers.
Its just my sugestion to steam managment, to end that. Thats all.

It just my suggestion, it can work or don't. I like simple solutions, so I propsed change that is easiest, at least from my point of view. I think its better than waiting and praying it will be sorted out on its own. It won't, it will only escalate.
Baiter does that for rewards, so take that reward from them, or use it against them. Simple math.

Ahh so punish people just because some random person gave them a jester... oh ya the trolls won't take advantage of that at all to punish people who they don't like who are not breaking the rules, no not at all....

The better idea would be to remove ALL the awards from EVERYWHERE Valve allowed them to put on by people. Removing one award, or even just removing the points given for it won't be enough, they will still get others and people like you will still complain about people getting them. Other will (and have been) complaining about how insulting other awards are already. So again the only solution is to fully remove them all.

It won't stop the spam, though it will slow down over time. And of course people will complain but well too bad, Valve has removed popular stuff in the past when people have abused it or caused trouble with it, awards are no different.

Your idea to punish innocent people, which is what would happen, is a really bad idea.

Being subject to one of the lamest extortion attempts in history creates rich ground for humor but people will troll just for replies and have since forums were invented. They don't need the awards to do that.
