Steam Chat Backgrounds

What if steam added like special backgrounds to chat like how there are to profiles? For example if you start a chat with one of your friends you can see what background on their chat they picked so each one would have a unique background when talking to them. Like some guy have a Dota 2 logo background when speaking to them or maybe a picture of a zombie from dead island etc. And maybe you could add in animated backgrounds for chat that could be rare but I don't think it'll work out since it might slow down certain peoples computers if they had too many chats going on so maybe either without animated backgrounds or able to turn them off in options maybe. I don't know if this is a good idea or not but it just came to my mind recently while talking to a friend.

Thanks! I'm thinking it could maybe make chats with certain friends more unique and might be a conversation starter.

Well animtid background for chats i think is a real real bad idea as when you talk it will just make it harder to read..
Same with any background really.. will just make it harder to read as what happen if the background is all white? and the text is white?

So i don't much go with these... if all the window you want to have it... skin is what you want
So its a nice idea i just don't think it will work well
Also for your info the grey color all over steam is a middle color that make it easy to read and tier the eyes less... so you can read more i think that is why they have it

Well, it's not like I'm thinking of having the background completely changing it, just having enough opacity to make it visible but not enough to like make stuff hard to read or anything.
EDIT: Also, I didn't mean like you could change the background color fully, just game based backgrounds like the ones on profiles. Plus there could be an option to just turn off backgrounds if player really didn't want it I guess.

if you don't want it to boder it cant be were the text is... that dose not leave much space... and any thing on were the text is will be a pain if its not like made for it... what will be really limited

Perhaps the text color could change in order to fit with the backgrounds theme too?

I was hoping to find the site i seen that try to do stuff like these.... its a real pain to read.... even more think abut color blind XD they will have problem with some backgrounds...
I think its a nice idea that will not work well.... maybe it will on big picture... as there you have more space outside of the text zone
