Add a zoom in/out feature to steam client
Text in the store is too small. It seems to be browser based. Can't you just enable the zoom in zoom out feature (Ctrl +, Ctrl -).

I tried the "Big Picture", but the solution there seems to have been to remove every bit of text you can. I want to see the text, I just want to see it bigger.

Well when on TV you usely dont want to have to read.. as you need to see it from far.. that is why its usely set for more picture then text... you can look at anything that used on the TV and see its so... most of the time

But a zoom in zoom out will be awesome

Oh GOD Yes - please do this.

As it is, about 5 feet back from a 22" I have to use the Windows Magnify all the time.

That's pretty much what Big Picture was made for.

No it is not - it's a 22" LCD monitor (not TV), I was talking about - and navigating the client is difficult sitting back from the screen.

Edit - typing this through a browser from over 6ft away - I can Ctrl +, a few times and easily read the screen. This is what the opening post is referring to...

Woops, my bad. Does it, by any chance, help to turn the DPI up?

yes this is what ive wanted for ages too, to just be able to hold down ctrl and scroll the mouse wheel too zoom in or out. i use a 32 inc telly at 1080 its about 1 foot away from me and i have to squint to read stuff in the steam client.

Another vote for zoom functionality! But please, not just in the store. Everywhere. For instance, now that i'm typing this here, this discussion uses only 1/3 of my screen and there is just 2/3 of empty space on the sides. But I almost need to put my nose to the screen, so small is the text.
Big Picture mode is not an option to me. It's horrible to use it on a pc, to me.

Did turning up system DPI help you?
Pyjamajunkie Jul 16, 2014 @ 6:30am
I don't care for a solution like 'turning up system DPI'! That's not a solution but an impractical workaround.
1) It affects all other text too, in all my other programs.
2) You really think i'm going to a) change system text size back and forth each time, b) save all work in progress, c) close my programs, d) log off, e) log back on again and f) restart and re-open the stuff i'm working on, just so i can read the text in the Steam client a little better?

This is a good accessibility/usability enhancement option!

Seriously; this is how you do it...

Load up Steam Big Picture and use the Browser in there; full zoom control is available there.
