Steam Client and CO-OP games
Hey there fellow reader.

Here I am having the option to run two STEAM clients at once for CO-OP games.
Games like PAYDAY, Left 4 Dead etc. are games that you would like to play with your friends or brothers. Rather than gathering in a room with 2 PC's you could just launch 2 steam clients that would only be possible if there would be a dual monitor setup only. Overally the PC gaming lacks in a one computer CO-OP games. If you take a look at console games (NFS, COD, PAYDAY etc.) have the oprion to play localy with 2,3 or more people. If a console, that has worse performance that the average computer can do this why can't a computer do so?

Well I indeed do understand that this is a game option, that's why I bring to play the 2 steam clients running together (could also be 2 logged steam accounts in one client). Like this, the game would think it is 2 different PC in the same network but trully it will be just 1 computer.
This would work nicely either with dual monitors or split screen. And there also comes the compatibility with Big Picture baby. Split screen on a 40" television would be like dual monitors.

There comes tho my biggest concern, the input. having 2 keyboard and 2 mice to play on 1 computer a game. This would require some serious software work like happened with the contoller support for many steam games. The only trouble would be making the games compatible and splitting the input.

1. The split screen: Don't tell me that a computer can't handle it, consoles can...!
2. The dual monitors: This, this might need a good graphics card
3. The input method: needs some work on it, won't be a hustle
4. The game compatibillity: This will take some work, or maybe not?
The good thing is that you can go online. So, if the game supports online gaming it will just be a join your friends game and let's roll!
But LAN gameplay is really something that the developers of the game have to add. Considering VALVe would make multiple peope playing on one computer possible the game developers would proceed with adding LAN options to the game.

Fun fact, LAN co-op was even available in GTA:SA on the PS2!

Well some games have it (Motal Kombat and Tekken) but that as there were port i think from the Console...
The main problem i think is so Far the PC was how its called Personal computer Something that today is less true even more with the Big Picture mode and SteamBox on the way...

I think soon we will start seeing games that make it to do things like these on PC but it depends how long it will take them to see that
