dont expect to see an UberEATS steam extension, ever.
No, Steam does not need to be an everything program. Everything programs suck. And no I don't order stuff by app, I either go to the physical store and get it, call and order something to be delivered or open up the website in a real, actually safe browser.
I do not want the extra bloat for stuff that 99.999% of the people will never use.
Which wouldn't be helpful for countries outside of the US anyway. I think Uber delivers in like five big cities over here. Even regional players like Wolt are still limited. We have Lieferando by deliveryhero but most restaurants actually worth ordering from aren't listed there because of their insane fees.
So they would have to make different deals all over the place.
Aye. They tried. They failed.
It's one of those ideas that sound great, but no one needs actually. Especially not with limited choice.
And that was before everyone had a mobile phone with internet access in reach.
It was funny when a Valve employee deleted it too.
The chances of it happening are near 0.
You already can... on your phone.... or alt tab out... no need for it to be part of Steam in anyway.
If they did add it, you know people would be screaming, why can't I pay with steam points and/or steam wallet!
