Minimum steam level for sending friend requests to my account
It would be awesome if I could prevent anyone under a certain steam level from adding me

Everyday I get added by at least 1 or 2 bots spreading viruses and trash links .. most bots are steam level zero or one ...

Adding such an option would massively decrease/limit this annoying phenomenon

This would also give lots of people a reason to rank up their profiles

Some users do not want to act with the Trading systems they do not like it, and there for do not rank up just for ranking up

As for that i really cant agree on idea that will force users to act into it to be more part of the community if there interested

Also note that any private profile show as level 0 and that as much as i know level 0 cant even add users, as they are a limited account

Well I'm pretty sure I'm getting added by level 0 .. could just be a bug exploited by those guys .. and I dont think private profiles show as level 0 too

All I'm suggesting is putting a limit on my account not others. I want only people of certain level to be able to add me ... so basically its just a privacy option to protect my account, not to limit others.

So basically it does NOT mean that a user must be of a certain level to be able to send friend request in general ..

People can be part of the community by joining discussions / groups / workshop / reviews /... etc. On the other hand I don't think sending random friend requests is "being part of the community"

As of now I'm just ignoring anyone of level 0 / anyone with private profile .. all i'm asking is automating that process

Example for the level:

The mod on the top has a private profile then he seem to be a level 0

I get more what you mean now, cant say i like the idea of all, as of what it shows :/
But that may be only me

Was this feature implemented? I'm starting to get flooded by bots as well and this is extremely annoying.
