That's a really good idea too. So basically all they need to do is implement some more options (genre, trading cards, controller support, achievements etc) for the columns in the Details view. I'm sure that wouldn't take to long to do.
I just found out about this yesterday (via Black Blade) http://www.lorenzostanco.com/lab/steam/. Put in your ID and it collects your game data, and then pulls all the tags from them, and you can search for one or multiple tags at a time. I sure hope this website never goes down!
Genres, small video previews of the games and such.
I have about 800 games, and I shouldn't have to spend my precious time categorising them myself when the on the store tab they are categorised and tagged already..

@Dare Devil: That does look pretty good. Though I'd be content if they just slapped half the store page on and called it a day. Just about anything to make the library richer in information and handier to maintain.
@Black blade: Looks interesting, not sure how I feel about having third party interact with my steam though (yes might just be a tad paranoid about that). And it really shouldn't be required.
