Add sorting for inventory

Add please sorting of items in your inventory:

1) By date added (as right now default)
2) Aplhabetically A-Z
3) Alphabetically Z-A

*Note:
-These 3 should be more then enough
-Show additional filters is not a good case here ...

That is a good idea, my steam gifts swapped places yesterday out of nowhere. It's not a problem for me with 10-20 gifts, but for those with 1000+ it is a big problem.

Would be really nice. I have a game with no options to sort items in your inventory at all and it look really messy there.

I agree with 1,2,3 but not with '*Note'...

I would like to be able to sort by:

4) game
5) item type (trading card, background, emoticon etc)
6) gem value
7) current 'buy' and 'sell' prices (if recent cache prices, no biggie, still useful)
8) items I have on offer (buy and sell) -- ok, strictly speaking, not 'inventory' if 'buy', but items on offer for sale disappear from inventory, so I often forget which I have!
9) set completion state

... that's off the top of my head, and I'm a n00b to this inventory malarkey; I'm sure there must be other useful sort types obvious to others out there :)

This is still not fixed, gifts in my inventory are moving every couple of hours and there is no respond from Valve at all

I'm rapidly approaching the point where I'm wondering why I'm spending all this time faffing about with these trading cards. It's like an addiction. A pointless one, at that.

I want to be able to group items by:
+ sets and partial sets (not just the fluff 'badges' functionality we currently have)
+ price bracket (so I can concentrate on high-profit items and not get distracted by pennies)
+ those I may want to trade rather than sell
+ availability for sale (i.e. separating off the items on 'hold')
+ those currently on offer for sale

It's tedious, to say the least, having to constantly reload different pages for different purposes. Surely Valve must be working on developing a better interface... Surely? Are there any rumours to that effect? I've not been able to find any. If they have no plans to improve it, I'd find that a tad surprising given that it must make them pots of cash and could make them far more.

10 years since this post and it's still not possible to sort items Alphabetically ?

When you have alot of items from games it's impossible to find what you are looking for withouth sorting the items!
