Stop showing "popular" games in the recommendations queue

"This game is in your discovery queue because it is popular."

Can we ask the discovery queue to stop doing this?

I know a lot of people use the discovery queue to try to find interesting new games to play, but just because something's popular doesn't mean we'll like it.

At the very least, try to match a tag or something.

Agreed, only show me a popular game if it matches with other games that I like/find interesting.
Match more than one tag, as I maybe like Visual Novels BUT only those with certain mechanic or protagonist.

See I've read people writing that they've listed so, so many games as Not Interested, and it's stuff like this that contributes to it.

Some people argue about whether all those new games "deserve" promotion. Well, honestly, what makes, say, DayZ deserve more promotion? It's already a hugely popular game already, now stop shoving it in my face asking me to politely consider buying this game or adding it to my wishlist "because it is popular".

I'm not interested, and I'd love to be able to tell the entire Discovery Queue system that I'm not interested in zombie games or survival games in general and I'm only going to consider them if they come from a recommendation via a friend or some other source assuring me that they're actually interesting and good for very specific reasons so stop showing me these games already.

Thankfully, I only have to tell it once that I'm not interested. Unfortunately, that's just one example, and the store explicitly says that saying "Not Interested" only removes that one game from my Queue.

I'm okay with all these games I'm not interested in showing up in the storefront. Storefront was always mostly useless anyway. It's that they show up in the Queue that seems really stupid, because the Queue is at least nominally meant to be Steam showing me games I might like to buy (or wishlist).

Need to add three more categories to that list:

* popular games
* games with tags similar to games you play
* games that can't be bought in your region

Well I guess you're right about #3.

#2 is like the counterpart to "popular games". Basically, if you want to see what games many other people are playing, or rather, what games would get recommended to you "because they are popular".

Something like that. I dunno. Needs a better name.
