Ability to tag friends in screenshots and other steam activities

I'd like to see a feature added to Steam that lets us tag friends in our screenshots or any activity that happens on Steam.

It's great if you have a funny moment in-game that you just happened to screenshot or take a video of. It would be very convienent to be able to tag the people you were playing with and others you want to show the content to once it's uploaded to Steam or in the case of the video, embedded to Steam.

This discussion is silly. Its a feature that should be available because this is a place where a ton of people discuss many things. I wanted to tag the dev of Hardware Engineers in my post I was writing on the game's General Discussion page. I couldn't figure out how, though, so I looked into it and found a few discussions, including this one. Being able to tag someone would be useful in many ways. There are a lot of people on Steam. There are tons of games, and tons of threads in the discussion section for each game. It can be very difficult to keep track of it all if you are even remotely active on here. Even with the use of thread subscriptions, its still difficult. If I could tag someone, especially someone who I don't know, I could make them aware of whatever I am posting, regardless of whether they are subscribed to that thread or not. And even if they are, they might ignore it. I for one know that I don't check them immediately. But if someone tagged me, I definitely would right away. Also, that's another thing, if someone replies to a post of yours, even directly quoting your post, the system still doesn't tell you, which is a big oversight to me. That is Forum Creation 101. Just my 2 cents.

I'd like to be tagged in screenshots from Ark servers I play on other players take. This would also be good for Communities

The ability to tag friends should ALREADY be on steam...it's so simple and it's a huge fault the lack of it already.
Why would some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ try to justify not implementing an ability to tag friends on a gaming social plataform to Facebook?

I'm already good with how tagging already works in games (if they have the ability) like tf2, when you take a screenshots while the person is on your sight they'll be tagged in the picture with a link to their steam profile and if I remember correctly it will be shown on their activity feed.

But I wouldn't want to be able to add random people to a screenshot.

No, I want to tag people manually. That just says game tags people. I want to tag whoever I want.

Put it in the description.

Be sure the people in the screenshot don't mind being tagged first.

It's the main reason why I stopped playing TF2 all those years ago.

I personally don't mind it in-game, and I somehow get in a player's view and they take a screenshot, I think that's pretty k00l (I can see why some people don't want that tho), but to be able to add in anyone for whatever reason is a big no for me.

It's how all those bots knew I had TF2 and spammed invites back in the day to try to scam items.
