Steam Music Player - AAC/M4A/MP4
So, yeah, I sort of stopped using mp3 a long time ago when I switched to AAC because it has the same quality at lower bitrates and file sizes. It's a very widely supported format, is the industry standard for a ton of audio/video formats (Such as mp4 container).

Not to mention almost any music people buy from iTunes is in AAC format (In M4A container).

Shouldn't be too hard to get it working. I believe in you, Valve.

Also, the player is still in beta with more formats already planned for the future.
