Start Banning Jester Farmers especially those who are purposely making fun of the LGBT Community

Every bloody game I see now has these people spamming news posts with it. You check their profiles half the time their people with a lot of hate even direct quotes you can find of them attacking LGBT community in the past.

Yet for some reason when reported you do nothing about it. Does this mean that Gabe Newell dislikes the LGBT Community? Is this company policy to make fun of the LGBT Community by having these spammers attacking the games?

report, block and move on. Most game forums are moderated by the developers / publishers or there appointed moderators, and just like steam only handle reported threads or posts.

you have no idea to who he gave those jesters. maybe they all went to friend's profiles. or guides. or screenshots, or artworks. but probably not to posts he would describe as farming

Thanks, I actually had no clue most of them were publisher/developer mods. This might explain the lack of mods overall. I guess Steam handles big issues not the small ones.

the developers can use steam moderators if they want to, but they don't have to. they can use their own

TBH, a lot of times they show up as the first comment in a lot of news posts. No one is forcing me to read it per say, but they showing up a lot. I do personally enjoy reading the comments about exciting new game updates, changes, etc.

The real problem lies with the people throwing jesters at threads and posts. Stop that and you will see the "problem" going away. But noooo, cannot have that. We need a way to show our negativity towards something or make fun about someone.

I am actually ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazed that social media hasn't picked up on that yet and make you pay 0.50 USD to be able to downvote something.

I upset people easily. For example, I'm not the happiest person with Funcom and the way they have handled Bugs, Cheating, end game. This alone gets die hard fans upset. You can easily say the opposite of what someone wants and get hated pretty fast.

Though I do find it interesting I'm spending so much time explaining my own actions, when that is not even what this suggestions / idea post is about.

It's honestly a bit weird how Steam users give points to people who upset them. But what can you do? It seems like it's part of the culture now. You can try reporting posts that are designed to upset people, and they might be moderated. It seems pretty hit-or-miss, though.
