old retired person's games
Games for old people? there are non. So I've written an outline of what I'd like. Go look, if you're fairly old and UK based, especially if you have any game development experience. Facebook group for crowd design of the game at "Retirement is a Game UK"

... There are many game already out there that old(er) people can play just fine. Many are simply normal games that anyone can play already.

For example, this lady is 88 and plays Skryim as well as Call of Cthulhu.

Marvel Rivals is perfect for older people who grew up reading those comic books! :smile_bod:
Plenty of game to enjoy to those of us older than 55. You just have to know your interests, i'd stay away from competitive games, look towards simulators and historical type stuff are my choices.

I think that competitive and casual both have their place.
CS2 is a really fun game, but it's not fun if I don't have a fancy pair of headphones to hear the other players walking.
I prefer something like Team Fortress 2. It's got both casual and competitive, and it's super silly. It's also free!
Basically any game, to be honest. Just whatever you fancy.

Though, like said, competitive might not be the way to go. Kids are usually quicker, can be frustrating. Though I still beat my teenager son regularly enough in games, I take the wins I can get. :lunar2020playfuldog:
SimCity, worms series, Microsoft solitaire series, Microsoft mahjong, Microsoft minesweeper.
i dont know if this is good.... Batman series

I used to game with a 60 year old when I played MMORPG. I know some 60+ that play COD, Driving simulators like GT, and RPG games like God of War, Spiderman, Horizon, Witcher, Halo, and so much more. Just because get older doesn't have to mean their tastes in games have to change. I still play the same sort of games I've played for 30+ years
Any game the more competitive the better! Age is just a number!

Playing video games can offer several benefits to older adults as they age. These benefits include improved cognitive functioning, which can help maintain mental acuity.
Additionally, gaming can provide stress relief, mental stimulation, and social connection, contributing to overall well-being.
Engaging in video games can also reduce feelings of depression and isolation, particularly in people aged 60 to 85.
Furthermore, playing games can enhance digital and technical literacy, helping older adults stay connected with technology and the digital world.

With said I Know a few very good PvPers in both Elden Ring and GW2 some of them Over 60 And they can definitely hold their own in ranked PvP and they compete against GenZ ers.
Side not Stay healthy Eat good, Dont smoke, and get fit, Learn combat sports and stay competitive. GL

My grandparents loved playing Dr Mario.
You're probably talking a couple of decades older than my parents, but I just show my parents the games I play and have them play them. My mom is enjoying Wanderstop right now, and my dad recently tried Soulframe.
