steam should add a dating app

and use it to trial run age verification before the inevitable happens. they can charge premiums, too. i think it's a good idea.

If I take this as a serious suggestion for a moment: No.

Fun fact: statistically dating apps work best when the actual users comes from a somewhat limited pool (geographically, socially etc.). 'Gamers' isn't very limited today and the fact that Steam is used all over the world makes it about as good a dating appa as google.

Honestly I thought video games are supposed to help people avoid dating and all that unnecessary stuff that comes with it. Social interaction being overrated and all.

It would be unfair if they did so. There would be simply too much competition among the ladies of Steam for me and not enough for the rest of you gentlemen, and I think the sex disparity is still around 90/10 anyway

There are enough law breaking things on those dating apps that Valve does not want to contend with.
