Allow players to filter out KERNEL Level Anti-Cheat when browsing the store
Since my family and I ONLY game on our decks, it would be nice to filter out KERNEL level Anti-Cheat games from browsing the store. Kind of a bummer getting hyped about something that is just simply borked on Linux.

On a family full of Steam decks? At $139 per Steam Deck per Windows license?
At this point i only game on my Tablet , even if i want to play a PC game i just steam link it to my really fancy tablet, much better battery useage, i get around 16 hours of steaming on 1 charge. something the steam deck can't do.

it would be nice of steam deck was more slim lined to really take advantage of Google Play App gaming, it would excel pretty well with google play apps it is really a shame steam tried to make steam os into a steam forced store device, i feel it really took the point of owning one away from the users.
My apologies, in short, we REFUSE to use Windows to simply play a video game for many reasons that are best discussed elsewhere.

+1. Same with third-party DRM.

If Valve are too incompetent to ban both from the storefront outright, then we can at least get that much.
On the topic of installing other OS's on the Deck it's easy! Some notable ones are Bazzite, Nobara (for those who need to get things done), ChimeraOS and many more! Regardless of the operating system you choose, we should all admit we'll still be going back to Steam for our games until some other storefront ACTUALLY gets it right. Or Valve ruins it, whichever comes first.

no i really wouldn't even use steams store front if i owned a steam deck, which I don't. But how does a 20 year old account have 3 posting histories? what in the world is up today with all these randomly accessed 20 year old steam accounts showing up to the forum.

I am sorta disturbed by it, posting history doesn't lie btw.

like nothing must work on steam deck i checked your profile and seen you have like 50 games played this past two weeks with under 2 minutes of game time, LOL do those games just black screen or just fail to run on steam deck.

I'm attempting to be social to which you are proving why I typically don't bother. Question for you though, if you dislike Steam so much, why are you using it for this discussion? Any form of interacting on said platform is a form of support. And yes, I'm old, son.

Windows is malware[1]. Why should I be forced to use it?

+1 for more user choice. You aren't forced to use the filter.

Sure, I'll bite...

Optional malware is still malware. And, I hope you work for MSFT marketing, because you couldn't get me to shill this hard for a billion dollar corp trying to destroy the planet.

I have to respect the pure and honest love of corporations on display on this board, such as it is. The perfect consumer, for whom no act can ever break his unshakeable trust.
