History for received gifts. :: Suggestions / Ideas

History for received gifts.

Steam has already an history for the gifts you have sent, but not for the gifts you have received.

I wish there was an option to follow the gifts that I have received in the past, so I can give something back. It is not easy to remember who sent what, especially when they keep changing their names several times. And when there are too many generous people on your friends list, it is very difficult to remember who sent you anything unless you keep track of what happened in a notepad.

I hope to see this feature on Steam someday.

I hope they add it as well.. if they do not have it all ready

But if someone want something back for your gift its not a gift

These appear in "Licenses and Subscriptions" under "Gift/Guest Passes"

Though the only real way to correlate it with a user is to keep the email you get

Like Steam support said, "Unfortunately, a complete list of your gift history is not a feature within the Steam. We apologize for the inconvenience." The emails are a good thing, but not good enough because the name or the display picture are not click-able so I can not be re-directed to their profile to remember who they were.

Indeed, but it is always good to give something back to show them you care about them. Or this can be a way to thank them of it. ♥

This Feature would be nice, you can keep track of all the people that has sent you gifts so in the future you can send them back one aswell, but like Hyokkuda said you can only see the ones you have sent. Would be awesome if there was a "Follow" or a "Subscribe" button so you don't have to keep on scrolling through your friends list to find that person.

I'm interested because i received a gift of 39.99 on steam, I clicked it to see who it was from, but it just sent me to the steam store, and I have no clue who it's from and would like to thank the person.... I did not receive an email for said gift.
