Steam Cards on Amazon at reasonable prices
Other gift cards such as playstation network's and xbox live's are priced at exactly their value. You pay upwards of 5-10 extra dollars just to buy your gift card. Some people are only able to buy steam credit through retailers or other means. I'm a student without a credit card and my only means of buying online is through Amazon (gift cards)

Sellers on Amazon are the ones setting those prices, as far as I know. Not Valve.

The seller is listed as 'Valve'

No, that is the "by Valve" as in who makes them. That is not the seller.

The one you linked to says "Sold by EA Electronics and Fulfilled by Amazon. Gift-wrap available."

Those selling on Amazon are 3rd party retailers. They purchased the cards at face value from a store and are reselling them on Amazon.

While some may feel the price isn't worth it, for some it is the only way to get Steam Wallet funds as their local stores do not carry them.

I suggest asking who ever gives you the Amazon Gift cards, to give you Steam cards or a pre-paid Visa (or such) instead.

He is suggesting that Valve put them on sale there for a reasonable price, not that they are reasonable a reasonable price.

Oh, my apologies - I thought Valve was listed as the seller. Just like I said, Amazon is my only online medium to buy steam cards.

I am given Amazon gift cards (Amazon currency only usable on Amazon) which is not redeemable on best buy (Where Amazon currency is not redeemable). I hope that makes some sense

Reading is hard, I guess. I live in a remote area where Amazon is LITERALLY the only service I am sent currency for (I use it for everything)

Maybe Amazon send the code via email in a few minutes and he doesn't want to wait for BestBuy to ship it?

Get a visa or amex or mastercard gift card. Use in steam store. No steam card needed. Fairly sure steam accepts any major card.
