Adding Skype (and possibly other services) contacts to Steam chat

Now, this may sound ridiculous, but I would like it if you could do this. I want to be able to talk to Skype friends without switching screens all the time, and talk to them in the Steam overlay instead. Your thoughts?

Was asked a few times, and hopfully will happen some day
For now there are a few software out there that allow it like:

https://www.evolvehq.com/

Doubt it would ever happen since Skype is going to be better integrated with windows 10. That and 2 different systems that probably aren't compatible without copious amounts of work etc.
Just ask your Skype friends to install steam if they want to talk to you.

Ah, but they're both unavailable for Mac, which I use unfortunately. Thanks anyway!

O.. ok il see if i can find anything for mac

So or so you may want to try to look into asking Evolve or/and OverWolf abut it, i am guessing you will not be alone, but two of them are listing to the community not a bit, may work on it if possible

Yeah, I googled if there was a Mac version and there currently isn't, but they said they might make one in the future.

Cant seem to find anything that can really help...
Only thing i yet like to suggest for now, is maybe using your Mobile smart phone (if you have one) to talk on Skype, then you can manage it all from there, while playing on the PC
May not be perfect, but may help..
