Petition for Valve to implement Yubikey 2FA

I hope there is many fellow Yubikey users here and that this will receive the amount of interest it deserves.

I really love and respect that Valve has started giving notice to proper 2FA methods.
BUT mobile phone app + manual input is a hassle. If they implement 2FA with Yubikey OTP the login would be a breeze.

If you are a dev reading this: I'm sure you already know about Yubico and have considered it. But on the off chance you have not yet realized that this is an open source and free integration.

Please spread the word, even if you are not a Yubikey user. Implementation of 3rd party 2FA providers could mean integration of your choice of security as well. Be it Smart Card, RSA, swekey etc.

Well that may be nice, only thing is, its one of many servers, and adding too many of them will mean you need to keep up to date
So i think it really matters how much popoler that one is, on how much its worth the work of putting it in
And i do think over all Valve prefer to do thing in-home

The year is 2017 and a recent convert to 2FA using Yubikey. This method for two factor authrntication is FANTASTIC and I too wish Steam would add this authentication method.

Not going to happen since Valve requires the ability to lock an account, confirm trades, and provide Steam Guard codes.
