And now you know two....
sortnames or alternative names have been brought up quite often. But as they still couldn't figure out how to provide them with the library update, I guess it's way down the backburner.
Make that 4, I don't either.
Mostly for games I hate (like Fartnite or Cal of Dirty) but I sometimes do that for games I like or I don't care about at all. However this is mostly mutual like in TeamSpeak with friends or - as in this very comment - when texting something.
However I see the usage of it for some people so sure why not giving it a +1. But I highly doubt that this will ever be introduced basically because there is not much of support for it really.
You can actually do that already. Simply create a shortcut for your games .exe file, rename it and add this shortcut as "non-Steam Game" et voila you have your feature. To "improve" that you can then hide your original game.
You wont see the games banner tho as well as community stats when checking out that shortcut on Steam but it basically launches the correct game and therefore everything is tracked normally (playtime, statistics, achievements) as well as the ingame overlay works as it would do with the original .exe file.
