Adding multiple items to one's cart simultaneously
I just bought a couple of things which were part of the Steam Summer Sale, and I noticed the lack of a feature that I, and I'm sure many others, would find very useful.

I searched for a particular game and all of its related DLCs also came up in the list. I then wanted to buy it, and all the add-ons at the same time. However, I couldn't add them to the cart in that list, by means of an "add to cart" button alongside. I had to click on each name, load the respective page, add to cart, get taken to my cart, do the same search over again, and repeat. I did this almost 10 times, which was obviously a waste of time.

It would make sense to create an add button as well as perhaps a small square in which one can enter the number of the items that one wants, with these obviously being able to be removed in the cart.

I'm rather surprised it doesn't already exist, seeing as how much easier it would make buying games and such (generating revenue for Steam) and how simple it would be to implement. It's a feature on tons of shopping websites. I can't see why it can't be here.

Would also help when adding All DLCs to cart that it would have the option to exclude the ones you own when buying for yourself.

I really do agree.. for now i will like recommend the work around up to when Valve dose these..
Its the browser add on name Enhanced Steam[www.enhancedsteam.com] (3rd party) it adds all you ask for as well as many more things

Also if you prefer to use the client and not use 3rd party software you can use Shift + Left Mouse Click to open the DLCs in a new window.. like that you can add them to cart and then close the window and do it faster with no need to press back :D:

Hope these helps
(and i highly recommend Enhanced Steam i use it all the time and really do not want to use the store with out it no more XD)

I would also like to point out that I think it gets annoying to have to visit every store page on your wishlist during a sale, when they could easily put an "add to card" button on each game in your list. Maybe even put the sale timers there. Either that, or they could make it so you don't get redirected to your cart everytime you press the buy button, just pop-up a message saying that you have added the game. This way you could get through DLC quickly too.

That's exactly the kind of thing I was thinking of. I've seen that on many sites before and it works well.

I just want some way to tell I own the game, when browsing the DLCs for a game, especially if there's 20+ DLCs to go through.

try http://www.enhancedsteam.com/ as i said before.. it dose these as part of the things it dose.. and i do hope Valve will do it all ready
But for now its seem to be the best
Or maybe for there to be an option to add something to the cart without looking at the cart itself, say if we're looking for multiple games while a sale might be ending in under sheer minutes in the single digit-range.

Just make it a checkbox next to the "Add to Cart" button that says something like "Just Add" or something. Maybe make Add to Cart just add osmething to the cart without going to the cart's page, and the checkbox would then say "View Cart After" This checkbox would stay in it's most previous state at all times, like say if you checked it, it would stay checked on multiple games pages without needing ot recheck it. It would also work in the same way if you never checked it or unchecked it at any time.

Especially during Seasonal Sales, which are always planned, it would allow purchases to happen faster, which would basically mean faster money for whoever profits but also a sooner chance to play games we may love or would love to try :D

Just my sort of variation on the idea.

Also I would like a menu on the library, seen automatically when you click on a game, before or after the news (Preferrably before, but it might be tweakable, or would likely be changeable), it would have a list of DLC you own for the game, and below it would also be the DLC you don't own for it, maybe even with a tiny button or link to be able to visit the store page of said DLC, in the place of unowned DLC's names

I mean that in the steam's own client.
Mostly that. I don't want to go through each DLC store page separately to see if I own it.
When buying DLCs from the Game's Store page: If option is "For myself" it would sort out all the ones I already have and allow me to pay for the ones I don't yet all at once...If "As gift" keep them all in the cart and pay for all at once.

i just unearth this to jump on the bandwagon.
we need to bother gabe until he does it, each and every sales there is . (10+ / year...)

PLUS , to add insult to injury, when you realod last sales page after seeing an item description or cart, it often randomously changes.
the order of all games is not the same, and you pretty forget quickly which one you ve already seen.

reformulate request:

please have an "add to cart" button next to each item in a list.
this button does NOT send you to cart. just adds. put pop up to inform in case it was accidental.

AND/OR please allow to open a page in a pop up window or another tab , be it description of item or cart. so you dont lose your list. (tabs are not possible in the client)

positive side: thank you for listing which ones are alrready on wishlist or in library, tough. this was an enormous progress to sort the sales.

I already asked for a feature like this...
But..
Not yet developped it seems..

Yes please add a one-click add to cart option to make purchasing multiple games easier, you're losing money Valve!

I purposively necroed this thread,
because I would like to be able to click more than one game/DLC at a time

for example, make it available to add a game/DLC into cart without changing the current page

I know that not much users like to buy many games at once, but still...

When Promo Sales will come, many people purchase many games in one session..
So, this feature is much appreciated.

But as said.. Look the date, it seems that feature will not come in priority in Valve Office :/

Or even on wishlists, just put everything you would want to buy during the sale; and you could add it into your cart all at once!
It would be graciously appreciated if they actually did it.

Four ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ years and this is still just a dream. Could it be that Steam is just run by a bunch of complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who only care to make money and therefore prefer to put a button for "Buy Everything, Even The ♥♥♥♥ You Don't Want, Because Doing Anything Else Is A Massive Pain In The Ass". I wish I could tell every single person that was a part of that decision to eat steaming piles of ♥♥♥♥. Steam: you are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
