Petition to End or Modify "Profile Features Limited" Feature Permanently
I know Valve Corporation needs their money but this feature is currently driving me crazy and I don't see where Valve Corporation looses any money by letting these tiny profit games display normally (with a blue ribbon) in my library sorted by achievement percentage. I would like to petition Valve Corporation to eliminate or modify this feature (or at least explain where their lost profitability lies) so I can enjoy looking at more blue ribbons in my library sorted by achievement percentage. (Although this a bare minimum I would always welcome eliminating/modifying this feature to make it less painful in other ways as well). I welcome any other Steam user annoyed by this feature in any way to join this petition with me or any thoughtful response from Valve Corporation or a representative thereof.

Yeah. The problem is rthere are toom many sham games that abused this so..I say leave it be. The games will eventually make the threshold to unlock. So all you have to do is wait a bit.

It come to block non games games from showing up
We had games that had like 1k achivments where you get all of them for just starting the game
Or games that give items like letters and stuff
basiclly games not made for a game, but meant only for achievments or items where there only selling point
some also where really really cheap to help rise how many games you own and no much else

Using the limited blocks games crom benfiting users with this non-game, game feathers, so they not sell and the "dev" will not pay the 100$ to upload it

Dose this make Valve moeny, maybe in a round about way, but this is more likely to be a way to simply block spam non games from being on the store

Yeah, I don't get that feature either... I only understand "block not-verified games from appearing on front page" part, but not "block not-verified games from appearing in user profiles". Let users do "whatever" with their libraries and profiles while still keeping Steam front page "clean". Sony haven't added any limitations to PSN despite a lot of trophy spam games releasing in last few years aaaand they're doing just fine (Nintendo too, but their consoles don't have achievement/trophy system so mentioning them is less relevant).

My specific game was "Idle Monkeylogy". Its certainly not a classic, but its a real game that I worked very hard on (and even found a way to complete very easily if you're patient enough.) I see what you're saying about the fake games; there's some old real games that just are almost certain to not get enough player participation/money. I have an idea for this though; just add a system where a verified payed player (of which I am sadly not one yet since I don't have any spare money) can hit a button to denote that a given profile features limited game is a real game. Then have a Valve company representative override this feature after doing a brief verification investigation. Personally, I think Valve would want to auto investigate and remove store pages of bogus games anyway, but programming such a feature in would work just as well.

This isn't changing.

Why insert the “verified [paying customer]” into the process? Seems that if you want Valve employees to directly verify, anyway, that the involvement of the former would be unnecessary.

What is the process of the brief verification you envision?

Either way would work.

To achieve what?

To get my Steam blue ribbon to show up in my library of course. It would make a completionist gamer like me a lot happier, and happier customers spend more money when they have it (although maybe there aren't that many like gamers me though).

Happy customer isn't worth facilitating spam and shady games. The threshold is already incredibly low, if a game can't even sell enough to meet it then you need to buy better quality games...

I don't see how spam and shady games would be facilitated by letting more blue ribbons show up in my library's home. Granted it would take time and effort to reprogram this.

OP. Just wait. If it's a legit game it'll hit the threshold pretty quick. If it isn;'t.. well it's a sham game and you'll just have to wait and hhope enough people buy it.

If you’ve completed the challenges, a marker in your library hardly seems that important. I wouldn’t expect they’ll switch from the current system to something requiring employees to manually sort through PFL titles—though the verification you mention is a bit light on details which may make it more viable.
