enable emoji in the steam forums

I'm convinced these used to work... but it seems recently that emoji no longer work? 🤔

or some do.. and some don't? 🧐

the suggestion, is, get emoji working in the steam client/forums.

Those are Win 10 emojis. They work, just use the "Windows key" + "." to get the menu.

It sometimes lags, yes, though that's related to Windows (or possibly Chromium in general) and not Steam. I've seen Emoji chat lag been reported on various other forums and websites as well over the years, with even Chrome crashes mentioned.

The posted emojis are visible on other platforms (I see them on my Android phone), but no way to access the Emoji chat menu to post them, no.

The emojis people use in their profile names often also are the Win 10 ones.

that'll be because it's a "newer" emoji than windows 8.1 supports.
you see similar things when using an old android phone to view newer android emoji
