Better regional price/VPN explanations for devs and publishers
Around one month ago, steam changed the purchase method and now users have to use their country payment method to purchase the game. This is a good thing but if devs and publishers don't know this we are going to see more expensive games for certain regions/countries.

For example: Horizon Zero Dawn sudden price increase for Turkey,Russia,Argentina and Brazil etc. while Saudi Arabia and Kuwait can buy the game very cheaply even their economy is greatly better.
or Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning: Russia and Turkey saw over %150 price increase
or Destiny 2 Beyond Light package price increase for Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey etc.

I know the rule that "publishers decide the price" and devs/publishers have every right to sell the game at whatever price they want but I want to support them even with my disgustingly bad economy and I don't want a "This country is a VPN hotspot lets increase the prices" discrimination.

Publishers decide all of that, contact each individual publisher and state your concerns with them.

I contacted with two different publishers and they kindly explained the situation and their price policy in simple terms.
I wanted to suggest this because maybe they don't know this country limitation. It's just a hope for a more moderate price policy :(

Still thanks for the answer ^_^

They know but here's the thing.. they have their own issues to deal with and they have income quotas to meet.
Welcome to capitalism. You are only entitled to that which you can afford.

If I owe a bank 100 dollars, that's my problem. If I owe a bank 100 million dollars, that's the bank's problem.

Capitalism continuously gets broken by large numbers.

The restrictions mean nothing when people sell country specific funds.

Steam recently restricted this fund gift card trade thing like for USA you can only activate $, Turkey=TL, EU= Euro . Am I wrong?

This only affects the EU and Single Market plan is a good idea when you're living in a economically powerful country. I really feel bad about Eastern European countries when its comes to regional prices.

And when you take a course in economics you'll understand why that makes perfect sense.. Also why Banks generally don't allow people to rack up $150 million in debt.

Or you know. You could just wait for the game to come down in price. Which they invariably do.

No. But there is also a market selling you wallet cards of any currency or funding your account with a regional payment method.

Well... It's their right to use this service if it's legal to Steam. I can't stop them and I won't.

I'm generally doing this and also sometimes I'm paying the full price. My feelings boils down to "There is a right. Some people can greatly benefit this while others can't". Still I should be thankful to Steam for cheaper prices.
