Suggestion: List of users who blocked me

I want to have an option (e.g. a list, etc.) so that I can see those users who blocked me.

An example: Some friends are 'sitting' on my list being offline for more than two years. No, I would not unfriend them without being sure. I would want to know who are those who really blocked me so that I can act accordingly.

This feature works well on several other platforms, I have no idea why Steam does not have it. It would help us to keep our friend list clean. Furthermore, it would be fair to know this information on both sides.

Please keep in mind that:
1. There has been no bad intention behind the suggestion.
2. The suggestion/idea has not been motivated by any negative past experience.

Respect each other (including me and the rules too) while answering, please. Thank you.

I wouldn't feel as bad with this suggestion if not for the undertones and language you use. You clearly are planning to use this for some nefarious purposes, and it creeps me out.

I honestly do the same thing, I just don't unblock them and still get the same results, haha.

I have mixed thoughts about this: I can see why you would want to be able to see a list of blockers, and I even understand where you're coming from.

That being said, I strongly disagree with this idea. As I reach in the time capsule of my emotional mind, the only experiences I have wherein I would agree with you come from vain, petty, obsessive-over-nothing follies of mine.

Now I know you're not any of those things; but, when I can only agree with a person, you included, when I revisit those mindsets, I am convinced whatever's being asked about is a bad idea.

This list would have potential for abuse. The concern on mind at the moment is that any troll - or, worse, scammer - can cast a wide net, use this prospective list to keep up to date with who has blocked her/him/it, and use that as a gauge to create a new account to get to whomever blocked.

It isn't just limited to scammers and trolls either. Legitimate, but emotionally vulnerable/poor-choosing users could simply use the list likewise, but for debates and petty cyberspace drama instead of scams and trolling, drawing out immature fussing over nothings for longer and in greater passion.

That would only lead to more harassment from people 'hur dur why you block me' and whatnot.

If somebody blocked you they have a reason and don't want to speak with you, so you should let them be, as for people that blocked you but are on your friendslist then choose friends better I guess, people don't block others for no reason

Though I understand why you would want to see who blocked you, especially if that person is in your friends list, this could create other problems.

Like, if you block someone because you don't want to contact them anymore then they can create a second account. And since they can find your profile through the list you are recommending, it will be easier for them to find you.

Even if you don't have any bad intentions, it doesn't change the fact that this feature WILL be abused by people to harass others. That is why so many people are against this suggestion.

I've always thought not telling the user they've been blocked outright was a bit strange. It isn't like there aren't ways of easily checking.

You go to the users profile you feel has blocked you. If you know the user had public comments on artwork or comment section check that first. blocked profiles wont let you comment on anything.

Secondly it tells you if you are blocked by a said users if you try to add a user that has you blocked.

A list of users that have you blocked will only increase stalking and harassment.

The followers list can be used for any purpose a steam users desires, you can basicly use that as your own personal list of people who blocked you. As for my friend who had a stalker harassment issue after she blocked someone she made a suggestion about there being a private friends list feature. But the people harassing her where using the followers list to log anyone who had blocked them. So if anyone brought up about removing the followers list. I would be all for it.

But the people harassing her where using the followers list to log anyone who had blocked them. So if anyone brought up about removing the followers list. I would be all for it.

I would not get rid of the follower list since I do use that to follow users that has beautiful animated profiles. If users use that list to follow someone to stalk its their problem. Lets just not agree on a block list. Follow list is useful for people who dont want to add anyone but makes good content as guides or any showcases.
