I prefer the phrase, "Skill issue."
Oh you guys, I better not see any of you 'moderation is fine' dudes in the next monthly "Valve, please permaban all the people I don't like" suggestion thread. I'm taking notes after all. I'm not taking notes that would be incredibly sad.
Reporting for anything other than spam should be removed. There's a block button for a reason, and people need to stop expecting the internet to change to suit their delicate feelings. If someone says something you don't like, block them and move the ♥♥♥♥ on.
You say this and expect them to take your "suggestions" seriously? lol
I once got a permanent ban after making a thread with a single post on the Xbox forums. Yes, I was trolling to get a free troll mask for PayDay The Heist, it wasn't abusive or insulting, unless laughing at the Xbox users unable to play the game is classed as insulting... What am I thinking, people think a smiling Jester icon on a monitor screen is insulting.
People think they are hard done by moderation here on Steam. I can only imagine how they'd be if they got their idols to run the place... Oh wait, they wouldn't be here because they wouldn't stand for their silly threads of conspiracies...
The official Gears of War forums banned me for "Aggressively posting in a negative manner." I think that's one of the most absurd ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ things I've ever heard as a ban reason. I have a whole collection though. https://viper.shadowflareindustries.com/images/bans/
Powerful stuff.
Are you excluding your own posts for any particular reason?
How about we don't try to change how moderation on THEIR OWN FORUMS is controlled.
Good grief.
Your idea is terrible.
Also, piracy is always a sore spot.
Bringing it up is poor taste.
Again, I said nothing about pirating the game. I said cracked. Last time they released an Unlocker that worked on retail copies.
Literally the same thing.
Cracking and Piracy go hand in hand.
LOL wut, you can't defend that.
Also, a 3 day ban is a mild thing.
I suggest not bringing up piracy or cracking anywhere on any forum.
THAT is common sense.
Good grief.
This isn't 4chan.
Not the same thing. Even when games were on CD, lots of people cracked the games they paid for because they refused to be told they had to keep the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ disc in. Hell, people cracked Halo 2 to run on XP because MS wanted to ram Vista down everyone's throats.
It's always been separate. Maybe people shouldn't be so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ paranoid about the mere mention of something that COULD be related to piracy.
