Suggestion- Sack the current moderation team. Here's why...

Moderation has become the number one issue on our forums, other than say the OT and VAC.

Why? It has come to our conclusion, our team has no clue as to what they're doing. Or do they?

Undercover mods, unwarranted bans, overturned bans, and game hubs who are the wolves, guarding the hen house. What all of this does, is bring a lack of trust in current moderation.

If they do know what they're doing, our Fora has become a harassment glue trap, in effort to bully and make examples of users to push their bottom lines.

By bringing in a new team, we can overhaul this system.

We can have mods that are labelled as such on these discussions, proactively engaged on our forums. Therefore ENDING the report system, that is otherwise spammed with false reporting, or otherwise ignored, by the corrupt teams friends, employees or acquaintences.

We can end, the undercovers, who are trying to be proactive in keeping forums safe, but apparently would rather spend their time backseat moderating mundane issues, and banning us within seconds of their warnings.

Game Hubs, are nothing more that salesmanship of their games.

In fact, the more "constructive" the negative feedback, the more likely you will be banned, being it's more constructive, and therefore, makes more sense. Sense the developers who may not work on your interests, do not want aired.

And so in summation, a new team, that speaks the english language, on an english speaking fora. Other languages, theirs. Knowing our figures of speech, jokes, slang and everyday banter.

Ending the report system.

Proactive moderation by those not "reacting" to reports, but knowing the context of the conversation being they are in involved with us.

And taking over the Game Hubs, that have been nothing but a racket.

With all of this in closing, a clean slate, and new beginning for those of us at the end of these corrupt practices of the past.

These are "my" suggestions. Nobody elses, and given these Suggestions are not that of one that can be locked, like those of a suggestion box (as it should), i suppose other comments are allowed.

I will not participate in this discussion, being Steam will not let me, w/o another unwarranted, and overturned ban.

I should also 'edit" and add, it pains me to say all this. I have had conversations with moderation, and from an outward standpoint, seem like decent people. But the model is corrupt, and does not work.

Repeal and Replace, this Moderation Team.

Mods here are ridiculous. I got slapped with a 3 day ban on one game forum just for pointing out that the previous one had the DLC cracked day one by hackers and the new one would likely be the same way. No links or in-depth discussion of piracy. Just a simple ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ comment.

Reporting for anything other than spam should be removed. There's a block button for a reason, and people need to stop expecting the internet to change to suit their delicate feelings. If someone says something you don't like, block them and move the ♥♥♥♥ on.

If I ran the boards I wouldn't need to change a single rule as the rules against disrespect and being argumentative would be more than sufficient for me to permaban everyone I would want to here with ironclad, inarguable justification. Honest, equal enforcement is what I want and what I would deliver.

Not the same thing. Even when games were on CD, lots of people cracked the games they paid for because they refused to be told they had to keep the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ disc in. Hell, people cracked Halo 2 to run on XP because MS wanted to ram Vista down everyone's throats.

It's always been separate. Maybe people shouldn't be so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ paranoid about the mere mention of something that COULD be related to piracy.
