Steam Should Have The Option To Bulk Download Screenshots
This topic is a solution-oriented continuation of another topic.

Steam needs to offer you a way to download thousands of screenshots that are no longer on your computer in bulk.

It turned out that Steam made false information or made an error in the storage area. Therefore, some alternatives need to be offered to the user in order to solve this problem.

1) My first suggestion is as follows. In our Steam account, screenshots of games have already categorized with their own names. The option to download all the pictures in this category in bulk. This can be in the form of a RAR file.

2) The option to download screenshots in a limited way. For example, download the first 1000 screenshots. Then download up to the next 1000 screenshots.

In this way, you will be able to transfer your screenshots to your PCs and make space for new screenshots in Steam. At the same time, you will be able to delete the screenshots you took in bulk without encountering any loss problems.

IF they were to do this... and they shouldn't, it should only be available for your own screenshots and it should only be a one time thing. If its not a 1 time thing, they should charge you 5 dollars USD every time you press the button so it doesn't waste their bandwidth and time putting something like this into place. And each time it should be limited to 500 to 1000 screenshots at a time.

If this pointless number of screenshots actually meant something to you, you would have saved them on your PC in the first place as you took them. But since you didn't, then it should cost you to bulk download them again.

I don't know why people upload so many screenshots from games, "ohh a pixel changed, I have to screenshot it..." thats what it seems like may times. No one is sitting there for hours or days going through all of them. If they were that interested in the game, they would play the game and be able to see all those same scenes themselves or just view video from the game.

Your comment doesn't make any sense. Just a meaningless wall of text. You have been blocked. Trolls and toxics will not be responded to from now on.

Thanks. Some features of Steam feel a little lacking. This is the feature that I can find and have the problem with, for now. Valve has improved the Steam platform a lot. It would be great if he found a useful method for situations like this. I wrote whatever came to my mind.

Yes, as a way of managing one's own screen shots, this is a good idea.

Thanks. I think some features of Steam are missing and lagging. I even talked to the support team about this issue and they said they agreed, but they wanted me to express this situation under this title. So I opened this topic. The Steam platform is developing day by day. That's why I think we, as users, can present our ideas in a way that makes this platform more user-friendly.

Why do people make these arbitrary "People want something out of Steam that I don't personally use, they must be punished for it!" posts. This sort of content is always silly to read. Let Valve handle the metrics of what they can and cannot offer.

Please remember that Valve is not your girlfriend. You do not have any reason to be mad when people ask things of it.

Id have no issue with this being implemented, however silly I find someone with 25K screenshots uploaded.

To actually address OP, I have never once visited a website that offered a bulk download selection that was graceful. You can either download each screenshot individually through an automated process, but that would be largely on your end and relies on Steam's awful web ♥♥♥♥ interface playing nice. I.e. a browser extension used by you that saves every single jpg served on a page, for instance.

The other option is probably closer to what you are thinking. If you want a zip of your screenshots, that zip must be made SOMEWHERE, so the server would have to zip it live before serving the file to you. Many web services do this, but it always results in you clicking a link, waiting 5 minutes, and hoping the web ♥♥♥♥ interface doesn't break between the start and when the zip file is finally served to you, which on half of the sites I have ever done this it very often DOES break. There is just no way to speed up that process, and it's non-trivial, Valve would have to do extra work to make it happen and make it reliable, unlike the far simpler request of the other screenshot thread. And considering this is the company that left the back button in a broken state for nine months on release, expecting a precise niche feature like this that is not trivial to be implemented correctly is probably something I would not even bother asking Valve for even if I knew they would give it the old college try on my word alone.

I don't know if Valve WILL do it or has mechanisms already for stuff like that, but in my experience, download all stuff is best handled client side with download managers or downthemall style scripting than trying to get a zip file.

Still crying huh? Nobody needs you to cry. You've turned this into a personal issue that is irrelevant. That's why I can't take you seriously anymore. ''You have been blocked. Trolls and toxics will not be responded to from now on.''

Great article. Thanks. Yes, the main issue here is that Steam is not user-friendly in some respects, and therefore, sometimes this can be a problem for the user. That's why users are starting to turn to third-party programs. This puts their accounts at risk. Valve needs to find some solutions to such issues.

Thank you for this. Some users strangely take anything personally and feel the need to attack. It is very strange that users are so aggressively against an issue that even benefits them. They also don't have to write, if they don't care then don't write. It's that simple.

The only one that seems to be taking it personally and attacking is you. You seem to be upset with anyone that says anything against your ideas and you call them trolls and toxics. You put your opinion about why this suggestion should happen, I put my opinion about why it should not happen and that opinion includes how I feel about tens of thousands of screenshots per account most of which look the same.

You don't like that, well thats what happens when you put your suggestions up in public, people DISCUSS it and that will include people who don't like the suggestion/idea. Calling them trolls and toxic because they don't like your idea, or see lots of flaws in your idea, or just see no reason to support your idea, or any number of things says more about you, then it does about them.
