If EU considers digital age verification for all countries in it, it would make it more viable for companies to use it.
mine as well go both ways, complain here on steam and to the local governments, spreads the word and the issue.
Yep, like the people who jump into threads not knowing that Valve doesn't even develop the Steam china client, and didn't even click the link or they'd see that its done by Perfect World, not Valve.....
It's almost as if someone jumped into a thread to argue without any clue how things work....
Wow, I am completely shocked about this.
Oh look, they're giving out points to show their thanks for pointing out their mistake. How nice
it is a law in china, that every company that wants to make buissines in china, need to create a company in china that acts on behalf of the mother company but needs to be a seperate company. thats the reason why there is n another developer in china, but they act on bahalf of valve
Glad we agree.
I would also argue that editing comments with jabs at others isn't 'proper discussion'.
Valve didn't implement that ID system, Perfect World did.
Soooo....
Again. It doesn't imply cheap, or easy. Just means someone at Amazon was sure this would be a good ROI. SOmeone at Amazon also thought Rings of Power would be a great series...
Again. Sometimes the best solution is just not to bother.
AAnd clearly there weren;'t enough people in your region buying such games to be worth the bother. I mean it has literally been years now and the regional difference in revenue dclearly hasn't been enough to motivate Valve to do more than they have.
steam can't really know how much people would use the age veryfication, because the region block was activated a few months after steam was opened for adult contend in gerneral. they can only make estimates. and if nobody is asking for it, they wont know, and that why its important to continue with this suggestions, so they see there are eneugh customers to evaluate a change
Why for germany ? It's done on the web site part ...
Please do not make things up. Steam has been allowing mainstream adult content on their store since 2018. YEARS before Germany updated their laws.
They had plenty of data to show sales numbers over the YEARS its been available.
One that isn't developed or maintained by Valve by the way.
