people abused and exploited the coupon system so they stopped it. at this point in time, its a little late to ask unless you are asking for next years summer sale.

Games are already on sale during the summer sale. There's your discount. At this late in the game (days before the Summer Sale) if Valve is going to do it it's already baked in. And if they're not your idea is for Summer 2025 or Winter 2024 at the earliest.

It wasn't really a matter of abuse but Valve simply opting for using the Steam points for profile personalization and created the points shop.

They entertained the idea of points per vouchers, but they ultimately dismissed it.
