Family play (for mother)
Listen, games are essentially for all ages. I wanted to share something like a tag. In short, I'm trying to teach my mom to play games. I'm looking for games for my mom, and while it’s possible, there are still difficulties. I'd like to add a tag, something like 'family' (I mean, for your mom, no matter how silly it sounds). This is just my suggestion; I'm just trying to convey the idea. I don't think I'm the only individual who decided to teach their mom to play games. In general, if this was possible, it would probably be cool...

At the moment, I won't be able to respond to any more messages; it's night, and I want to sleep. Good night.

I understand, but out of curiosity, I just looked it up. A previous user mentioned that anyone can add a tag, but I'd like to point out that any user can also report a tag on any game, which can lead to its removal. This seems to be more of a social issue, but how can a social issue interfere with a tag? For example, how can it be a problem if it's more about the community?

Well it's obviously creates problem for people searching games as wrongly tagged games show up, or don't show if they've ignored the wrongly placed tag. Single flagging of a tag will not get it removed nor does single tagging make the tag stick (requires tag to be among 20 most popular tags used for the game). Also see my edit in above post.

I just don't understand if there is any moderation besides complaints.

Steam Support only acts on reports. It does not actively look for problems. How devs moderate their hubs is up to them so it varies from hub to hub.

Considering that today's moms often grew up with video games, it's save to assume they do not need teaching and are more than capable to press a few buttons according to what's happening on screen. They
a) either really don't care
or more likely
b) play dumb to spare you the embarrassment of getting your arse kicked by them. ;)

My mom, unfortunately, isn't getting any younger with each passing day. She was born in 1982, in the USSR, and was raised in a family where there were no computers. That's why I decided to introduce her to games. As for pretending to be clueless, I can only say that, in my opinion, it's always noticeable :heartpr:
I just realized that my idea is already somewhat implemented on Steam, even before my suggestion. I checked the games with the 'family-friendly' tag, and I made a pretty big mistake. I won't make excuses, but I'd like to point out that this is unfortunately located in Steam Labs. Anyway, I’ve resolved my question. Thanks to everyone for exploring the issues with my idea. So, thanks to everyone.
There's already a 'family-friendly' tag. I'll mark it to end the discussion.
Hello, I'm a 68 yr old grandmother, and find it difficult to find games I can navigate. I've previously played & loved Skyrim, Subnautica & enderol and find it difficult to find similar games. Am always looking for suggestions for games I can tackle.
