Steam needs to add separate tags/preferences slots for porno games vs actual adult games with graphic and nudity content in it

Games like fear and hunger don't belong in the same tags as well whatever the ♥♥♥♥ is ♥♥♥ blaster of the week, one is an actual game for adults and other is a playable ♥♥♥ fantasy, they are literally hurting their sales but discouraging devs to include graphic content in it and it's quite honestly an insult to art.

Tags are user defined and not assigned by steam. They already separate it out in the store by Frequent Nudity or Sexual Content and Adult Only Sexual Content but users can apply whatever tags they feel are appropriate

A better option might be in the search to add under Narrow by feature a checkbox to display non adult games only if your opted in to seeing that content as there isn't a good way to search for only non adult games.

no what i'm saying is add the porno games on to the the separate category so adult GAMES with violent graphic stuff in it won't be mixed in with stuff like "STEP SISTER SIMULATOR" or "HUMANS ARE NOT THAT AGAINST LIZARD WOMEN "'

edit: this way i can see actual games like fear and hunger and not get bombarded with whatever sex fantasy steam poops on to the store page

As far as I know, correctly set up preferences already achieve that. You won't get BG3 or Witcher games blocked if you block only AO stuff.
Unless I misunderstood?

of course it be up to the devs to take it up with steam that their game is not a porn game

The two are already seperated in the store, so if you uncheck Adult only sexual content you wnt see porn games and it won't block anything with violent graphic content unless its also a porn game

Sexual or NSFW content would be classified as Frequent Nudity and Sexual Content and not blocked if you uncheck Adult only sexual content. That includes games like the Witcher 3 which contain nudity and non graphic sex scenes

Is there a specific game or something being blocked when you uncheck Adult only Sexual Content that you feel shouldn't be blocked?

Frequent Some Nudity or Sexual Content is a step up, with games focused on such content, rather then just on the side.

But, yes, the preferences are already there to separate such content.

The content in fear and hunger is what drove it to be an Adult Only game. If the developer disagreed, they could always edit content and have it looked at again. Seeing as how they kept it, they likely agree with it.

Ah yeah mispoke on that but same premise. I'm wondering for a more specific example of what specific games is causing he OP issues and if its as simple as he feels an adult only game shouldn't be flagged as an adult only game

Ya, Fear and hunger is correctly classified. I've looked into it before.

One could always enable, buy, then disable, if they are looking for a specific game.
