Make stickers that we can actually useful
I know they are free and I appreciate it.
But godamn, most of the stickers given are trash. I'd say 80% I'll never use in a conversation, 10% are so situational that I might or might not use it. and 10% are actually useful.
Like the last one given "Infinity Loop", in what context are you using it in a conversation? Probably never.
I don't know who's the artist behind the stickers, but please, consider making them actually useful.

The artist is tasked with making it, they are given a general idea of what they are looking for, the artists make it, others approve it. Its not like the artist just makes it on their own and no one can say no to it. What I have seen in most places is the artist usually makes some basic sketches, others point out the one or ones they like the idea for, and then the artist does them up and one or more and picked to be included.

Its approved by others, and put up on the site. So don't blame the artist.

As for not liking them... well thats your opinion. If they don't like they, don't get them. Others like them and pick them up. Who is to say that what you like, I will like... does that mean they shouldn't put them out because I don't like them? If thats the case then nothing would be released because there will always be someone who doesn't like them.

So again, if you don't like them, don't get them. If you don't think you will ever use them in conversation, then don't get them.
It would be less of a problem if you could remove the awful ones from your inventory but Steams usual method is to offer it as a surprise and surprise! You just got the ugliest thing ever drawn now showing up in the sticker box and your inventory every time you make the mistake of using the feature.

"Don't hire bad artists. Don't make ugly stickers." is not an unreasonable request though.

To be honest, I do think Valve should add either some kind of dumpster, where you can throw things you don't like (but can get them back anytime) or advanced hide feature like with games.
But I guess it's not a priority.

I don't think that changing artists would change people's complains. I actually like current sale's theme and items, they just don't work well with theme of my profile.

I don't think you understand what I mean.
It's not that I don't like them, but that they are not useful in conversations, which is the primary use for them.

And that is how most of them are going to be. I don't want to see stickers and emoticons all over the place.

But again you not liking them is why you don't use them. As mentioned even with a different artist (and we have no idea how many artists they have on tap to make stuff like this) it doesn't mean you will lilke the ones they make.

There is always going to be people complaining about what Valve puts up. If they bow to what you want, then they have to change things every single time someone else says they don't like what is designed even if its stuff you like.

There will always be people who dislike what gets put on Steam be it stickers, or emoticons, or backgrounds, or games. Its all in the eye of the beholder.

So it goes back to... if you don't like it, don't grab it/don't use it. Other ones you might like might come along, they might not.
