Please stick to the topic, I shouldn't have to remind you every other thread.
Eating healthy is always relevant.
Dead gamers don't buy games.
Eating healthy is important aye, on that I don't disagree. But I just don't think Valve needs to or should make a forum for it. Users should make groups that are dedicated to it, groups that can host their own forums which can be specifically organized for such things. Maybe have a forum for each type of food. Maybe a forum for discussing food in general. Maybe another for talking about games that are about food.
A user controlled group will have far better value than a singular food forum Valve could plop down in the steam section on top of the fact it could be actively moderated by people (preferably) passionate about the subject/group rather than the paid mods that just do not do their job well.
A subforum would be a lot better.
So the proof is in the pudding, Sonny Jim. Let's see if you actually have the goods and make a Steam Group, otherwise it just looks like the typical useless troll fodder.
No need to be combative.
If you don't like the idea of a meal prep subforum, you don't have to use it.
Peace.
A group is one thing, but open support to the idea is a whole different level. Two of the most common complains I always hear from my peers are "it's taking sooo long to cook" and "there are only so much recipies you can do anyway". There are already plenty of ressources to find varied and quick prep meals on the internet - but people are not searching them out. So a dedicated forum on one of the biggest gaming communities would be a big step.
Valve could even take it further and release a series of gamer kitchen appliances. The world is ready for blender with RGB lights and ergonomical high DPI knives. A Mann Co branded induction stove? Hell to the yes. Get out of the kitchen woman, that's my domain now!
And of course the logical step of having actual functional IOT fridges that tell you when your download is finished or how long your DOTA2 queue is.
And to the nay-sayers who argue that this is not what Valve/Steam is about: it'S about diversifying your brand and doing good. Taking risks with all the billions they got from us and re-invest into a healthier community.
Imagine Nintendo or Samsung never going into electronics. Or Kanye never designing the Yeezy Cybertruck. The world would have lost out.
And nobody can convince me that Mr Newell himself isn't into food and a healthy diet. Look at recent pictures of him. This guy is from the mid 1900s and doesn't look a day older than 61.
