Remove Insulting Community Awards

You've done right not to include toxic crap like the ability to downvote, but now you've unintentionally done something similar in allowing users to give awards that are being used for a similar purpose. I'd suggest you take a look at how community awards I'm sure you introduced with the most wholesome intentions are being misused by users to anonymously insult each other, particularly the "Jester" and to a lesser extent the "Hilarious" award.

And it will be a negative thing to anyone who doesn't live alone in the woods because this is not about what the OP wants to believe, It's about how communities interact online based on forms of expression they already use in the real world.

In the digital world, you understand that the thumbs up means approval because it is already used as an expression of approval in the real world. You also understand what the thumbs down mains for the same reason. So are you really gonna pretend argue that the OP simply decided to look at the clown award in a negative way just by himself? Let's be honest here. If someone called you a clown face to face, you'd know the meaning.

Again. I never said the clown award should be removed or even changed. I just find it to be unprincipled to pretend it's just the OP that is interpreting the clown that way when we all know that "Clown" is used as an insult in the real world.

By all means argue in favor of being free to stamp a person's post or even their account with a clown if you want, but don't pretend it doesn't mean what it means.

That being said, If I was to call someone here a clown here, through text, I'd get banned for "insulting". So we are witnessing a bit of a double standard from Steam's part for including this "award".
