Try Augmented Steam.
Not going to happen just because then you will have lots of people who don't understand the numbers mean nothing, they are all self reported numbers from users, not anything that could be taken from the game itself.
It would also open Valve to being used for liability because it can and will turn people off games because people think they are short or because they think they take too long to beat. 3rd party sites can get away with it because they are also not selling the game.
Borderlands 2 for example, says 30 hours to beat... that is wrong. If thats all you see, you might consider skipping it. Games like that have LOTS of reply ability. In my case over 600 hours of replay ability and I still haven't really "beat" the game as that was only with 1 character.
Games like Beat Hazard/TF2/CS2 would be pointless to have a "how long to beat" because you can't actually beat the games.
Stuff that alters the times are people replying the game over and over again, people speed running a game. People achievement hunting. People trying to just complete a single run through.
If you want to know how long other people think it takes to beat a game, google it. Heck ask people in the discussion area how long it takes to beat, you will get different answers from people. Something like this should not be on Steam.
Steam Deck can do that with a decky loader plugin. Now I'm really missing this feature on my desktop PC :(
