WHY IN GOD'S NAME IS THERE A BUTTON TO ENTER BIG PICTURE MODE, BUT NOT ONE TO EXIT IT??????
Seriously this is just stupid. Maybe three times a year I accidentally hit that dumb__s 'Big Picture Mode' button in the top right corner of the regular screen. Since I can't remember the d__n 'Alt+Enter' thing, I end up spending 20-30 minutes trying to figure out how to get out of Big Picture Mode, all the while cursing Steam for being such idiots as to NOT PUT A BUTTON ON THE BIG PICTURE SCREEN TO RETURN TO THE NORMAL F_____G SCREEN. I mean how hard can that be? This is-or should be-an easy fix. So fix it please and do my high blood pressure a favor.

This^ but Steam first. The Steam Deck UI they ported over takes a bit to get used to.

Yeah, it's weird. The option to leave looks like you are shutting down the PC via Steam. Lol

If I remember correctly? Been a long time since I accidentally entered big picture mode.

Yes, it does and kind of feels like it too. I chose the wrong option the first few times and was like "WTF?" when I closed Steam or my PC.

With respect, a button that I have to go through two other buttons to reach is not terribly helpful when I'm trying to remember how to get myself out of Big Picture Mode. In fact it might as well not be there. The enter Big Picture Button is always present (to my disgust). Just put a d__n exit Big Picture Button somewhere that's actually visible on screen instead being hidden two layers down?

Even Windows has three layers. Click on Windows, Power, then choose shutdown or restart.

Takes me two second to exit BPM, after I figured it out the first time.

I don't hit the BPM button on accident either, though I have started it through the controller by accident. Forgot it was plugged in and pushed the PS button, trying to turn on the Bluetooth.

You may want to suggest hiding of the BMP button as that seems to be you main issue. I can understand that one at least, especially if you don't feel you will ever use it.

FFS, I hear ya, for some reason if I power up my controller when the usb is already plugged in it automatically opens big picture mode, then I have to wait for it to finish only to close it out again. Really irritating and I don't know how/if I can disable it.

Again with respect, that's irrelevant. There's a visible button to go into BPM, on the main screen there should be a visible button to get out of it on the main screen. Congratulations on never hitting the d__n button by accident. Give yourself a gold star. I do. I never use BPM and I forget the d__n thing's there. And since I don't sleep my memory isn't great, so once or twice a year, I'm going for the minimize button and click on the BPM button instead. And by that time, I have completely forgotten how to get out of BPM. Button on the BPM screen or hiding the button on the normal screen, either one works, but g_d d__n it Steam do SOMETHING to fix this. If not for me, then as a favor to my blood pressure.

Personally. I find it more annoying that the button is right between the profile and the minimize button. Both, I use a lot. So, I often click the BPM button by accident. Not a huge deal to me but it seems like such a silly issue that could be fixed by just moving that button to the left of the Steam news. Which I am going to assume people use a hell of a lot less than the minimize button.

A confirmation box could also be an option.

It's a mild annoyance to me, but an annoyance nonetheless.

Exactly Thermal Pineapple. Whatever option, it's an easy fix. So fix it Steam.

I actually legit forgot that button is over there. I guess I don't check my profile or minimize window often enough.

A better question OP is why is your accuracy with a mouse so bad?

Aaaaaand there's the "funnyman". If you actually read through the thread, you'd know that most of the time it's not. But every once in a while, I get distracted while I'm trying to minimize Steam and hit the stupid BPM button because it's right next to the minimize button. I'm sure that you have laser-keen senses and NEVER hit the wrong button by accident, but the rest of us aren't as lucky. So ite sume volatile saltum ad volvens donut si esses tam benignus.
