I suggest that the FTC start to hold companies like Valve accountable for fake, spam, meme, user reviews removals or be fined. There's nothing "Funny" or "Helpful" about turning a online stores product review system into fraud, misleading and deceptive product user reviews, for users gaming the system as a Steam points award farm.
Until Valve is forced to deal with it like any other normal online storefront. We have to put up with it.
ya I'm pretty sure that I'll be reported again for sharing pertinent consumer information on public federal regulator hearings, because it's for some reason in the wrong area " not related to the hub/thread that it was posted in" and is content that is not allowed.
There is absolutely no reason for Valve to be allowing all the ASCII ART and meme txt garbage.
But I can talk specifically about those 100's - 1000's of DOTA2 and CS2 bot accounts in certain reported groups being created and spamming positive user reviews every couple of weeks if you like? Already given those un removed reviews urls to the FTC in a complaint for fraud, would you like them to?
On the opposite end, I'd love to see review bombing be considered fair practice and it become unmoderated as a whole.
Okay. I'm pretty sure that the FTC isn't going to be laughing at all Steam's JOKE reveiws.
Then that mean all CS2 and DOTA2 bot farms are fair game to spam review bombs too if they own the games to review. Have at it. Lets see what federal regulators say or do, in fines.
They don't allow it, they're just really slow on processing the reports. I've seen such reviews get taken down, just takes a while.
Takes way too long then. On OP's suggesting, I'd like to see, date filters, for user reviews.
But this telling on Valve, easily seeing those 100's of bots spams in say CS2 as its been happening.
but no more telling than seeing "JOKE a.k.a SPAM" in the Steam Community Home page for TOP or MOST RECENT reviews.
"SPAM when its in a discussion "but just a JOKE when in a "consumer review" as SPAM or FAKE and legitimately having nothing to do with a product.
hahaha hilarious FTC https://steamcommunity.com/id/Zubumafu_/recommended/
ya, that's really funny isn't Valve!?!?!

+1
Huge +1 for the suggestion. Unfortunately few care and many will keep upvoting nonsense ‘review’ crap that just says the game is good or bad if they agree with it. Everyone is forced to live in the world occupied by the mass of fools who just won’t let keep it tidy.
