No thanks, I'd rather manage my volumes myself. No point in even having it as an opt in because if you have to put in the effort to set it up you can just as easily uninstal those titles yourself
I feel like we are talking here about a very niche use. I can't really think of a reason, why I would like my games to delete themselves after few days of inactivity.

Or just take a few seconds and uninstall them yourself. Its not like it takes much effort to uninstall a game if you haven't played it for a while.

No we don't need this, and if Valve put it in it would have to be opt in which I'm pretty sure most people would never even turn it on.
Yeah a hard pass on this, seam automatically removing games is a horrible idea, takes you seconds to remove a game if you want, no need to automate it and risk removing games because people got busy.
Automatically? No thanks, I keep games installed that I play every now and then, I certainly don't want them uninstalled. I decide how I manage my installed folders.

Optionally for people who want it, sure. Off by default is a must then.
That's going to piss somebody off when a game they like moved or deleted because they went on holidays.
Something like that would practically require spyware to watch what your doing.

Especially those on a limited connection or who pay per a GB downloaded.

The user should be the one to decide on these actions... maybe an option that can prompt a user that X game has not been played for X days and can save X space by uninstalling ?

Then have that dialog prompt have a few buttons of "Ignore" "Remind Later" "Uninstall"

With the "Uninstall" button taking you to the game page on the Library and displaying another confirmation prompt like "You are about to uninstall <game>, continuing will require you to reinstall and re-download the game files if you want to play the game again", with ok / cancel, then display the normal uninstall dialog for that game.

Automating the uninstall is a bad idea - I chose to install those games, my drive is large enough for everything I use, and I don't want any changes to my installed programs to be done automatically without my permission.

This idea is terrible for numerous reasons
If you have infrequently played games installed, copy paste the entire game folder to an external hdd, then uninstall those games from Steam. (Moving).

As for automatic uninstalling that would mean re-downloading them and it may be a game you intend to play the next day and now it is no longer exists in your library as installed.

Maybe it would be better to have Steam automatically play for you?
that would backfire and cause a lot of annoyance

It's your system you administrate it, it's not Valve's job to do it for you.
