And no, it would not increase the sales of the soundtracks by any measurable amount.
I also highly doubt every other company that has given out/sold soundtracks would bother to make charts for someone elses game.
Also as far as I know you don't have to make charts for rhythm games, the game itself will make the map according to the music... least thats what I think you mean by charts is a map.
Rhythm games that generates charts automatically from the music file tends to have poor mapping
With DeepLearning AI rapidly improving and getting popular, this might change ofc. but as far as I know, doesn't exist yet.
If a solid AI solution is found, it could def be an option
I think giving options is pretty important.
So having options to
1-Just not be in the Rhythm game/not have a chart
2-Create a chart using the AI solution
3-Create a chart manually
being there would be the best for everyone
with a new Feature Tag added to Soundtrack pages indicating wether that soundtrack has charts or not. Similar to "Additional High-Quality Audio" Feature Tag
That's up to the rhythm game developers to do.
Many already allow you to uise your own tracks.
If you want all 3 then you need to push that idea to more rhythm game developers.
But developers are very, vvery cautious about following such costly ideas because it seems that when it comes down to it..gamers aren't really willing to spend the extra dosh to have these wonderful features.
And if its worth nothing to the people asking for it, its not worth the devs time to implement it.
