Why not? Press middle, add game in window to cart, refresh main window. Even though I have no idea why you would want to stay on the game page in that case.
It would be Very easy to update/upgrade the shopping chart - Again, even when using middle mouse to open a new window and then add any title to shopping cart - ALL titles that I have added into my cart are there and I MUST purchase them all together or remove the ones that I can't currently afford - Just to have to find them again and purchase them later, it's really inconvenient & been like this for Years - Just a suggestion - I think MANY people would end up being pleased with this option
Many other platforms have this option (Amazon being just one quick example).
I believe that if Valve/Steam implements this approach and option for it's customers that the analytical data will show an overall improvement in sales/purchases (even within just the next Three Months and even more so over a full calendar year).
I also believe this approach would be more successful Especially during a week long sale.
Customers LOVE Options
Update/Edit: The Steam phone App and desktop app are linked to individuals wishlists also and to suggest opening a Windows tab for this is a horribly lazy suggestion - I'm sure that you can look for yourself as to how many users are on the phone app and/or desktop app (if not, then that is another suggestion for your analytical team)
Call it your idea and maybe get a promotion when sales go up 😊
Cheers 🍻
From the wishlist add one game to the cart. Purchase.
Rinse and repeat.
Nope because no online digital cart works the way you have suggested.
Try adding multiple items to a cart on Amazon. It will charge for all items.
Not true - they have Options for buyers
They have two actually, the "buy now" button (which is for individual items) and they also now have a checklist like the one I have described.
Again, it's a suggestion
While creating packages of games to buy for the holidays, this would help so much, especially because also I sometimes buy games on my account for others in my family.
It would save so much time
And in all my time in e-commerce I have never seen nor heard of a cart behaving that way.
Amazon isn't doing it either for me.
Not on Amazon nor any site i use for "multiple" items.
You either add a "single" item to the cart, purchase it then rinse and repeat or you add "multiple" items to a cart and purchase "them" as a single transaction.
- maybe check again?
Either way, it would be a Great chance for your platform to stand out and have something different and give customers more options.
Y'all eat some turkey, meet with your higher ups, and think about it. 😊
Have a Great Thanksgiving 🍽️
